I worked for a company for about a week. They sent me an after-taxes check that I never wound up cashing. The check is now expired. Would they still be required to send me a W-2 at the beginning of next year despite the fact that none of their corporate funds were ever dispursed on my behalf?
If so, is there a way to spare the company the inconvenience?
