The Award-Winning “Battlestar Galactica” Star Will Be On Hand To Greet Fans
– Wizard World, the largest family-friendly comics and pop culture convention in the central US returns to Philadelphia May 30-June 1 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Fan-favorite and award-winning actress Katee Sackhoff of the television show Battlestar Galactica will be attending the 2008 convention.
Ronald D. Moore’s initially controversial reimagining of the 1970s cult series Battlestar Galactica has won critical acclaim and legions of fans with its unprecedented realism, complex plotlines, and top notch performances. Sackhoff portrays hotshot pilot Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, a role originally played by Dirk Benedict. Sackhoff’s brutally honest and tenacious performance reassured fans that she was perfect for the role. Since its debut in 2003, Sackhoff has been nominated for a Saturn award three times, one of which led to a win.
During her Saturday appearance, Sackhoff will be on hand to meet her fans and sign autographs.
