Not all women are skinny models. I have so many close friends who are so self-conscious about the shape of their bodies. And it’s so disheartening to see all these skinny model-types on tv and makeover shows where big people get some sort of surgery done for the sake of beauty. They need to come out with shows or movies with real people. I really look up to Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray and Jennifer Hudson from DreamGirls...
for some odd reason, while the word "Ganya" was still just a thought-dropping in my head, I thought it'd only be four letters. But apparently it's five. yep.
Society need to put more emphasis on being healthy and less on being skinny.
Hollywwod standards are outragous. I mean I know Britney has some problems, but fat???? Come on now.
I think Sara Ramirez, america ferrera, Are beautiful. they are considered plus siz, but they aren't fat. It amazes me how people consider anything over a 2 fat, just amazing.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, diet coke in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. But I can usually shut her up with cookies.
A friend is someone who thinks you're a good egg, even though you're slightly cracked.
You have to think though... most "models" are the ones on the runway that are modeling clothes no actual human being would were in public. I think that its more of a movie star appearance people are trying to be. But in all actuality, the people they are have been hacked and diced so many time they don't actually look like that, they can just afford to.
On that note, I don't really think that I would give up my imperfections to look "beautiful". I just don't think its worth it. People should like me for me.
Eat right, and stay healthy, and that should be enough to live a happy life.
I'm a strong believer in staying healthy, no matter your size or shape, just take good care of yourself...because I'm almost 100% sure you'll regret it when your 50 if you don't.
