Campers, am I the only one who thinks steroids should be legalized? They are using them anyway and current testing procedures are not keeping up with modern drugs.
Perhaps we should just throw our hands up and legalize everything.
Sorry don't by that arguemnt should we lagalise cocaine or child porn after all people do it anyway and are always looking for new ways to avoid punishment.
Ok but going back to steroids I have heard the arguement about this before and fair point why should I care if some guy wants to look like a muscle bound freak with a 1 inch penis what do I care if he dies at 40 - 50 what do I care if he takes his " roid rage" out on some old lady or some kids why should I care if his liver or kidneys or immune system pack up or when he grows breasts or get's prostate cancer or goes bald or gets acne or goes sterile. The fact is I don't care but these people are meant to be perfect speicmens everytime they cheat they cheat you and me if all it took was a handful of steroids it would be you and me on the pitch as well, they are paid thousands sometimes millions becuae they have natural talent sponsors like Nike ain't paying them because of roids but because they are meant to have natural gift. Thens there the message to kids. All round the world billions of kids do thier best every week maybe in the hope that one day it will be proffesion for them, all they have to do now is screw that hard work take the roids problem solved.
The fact is people don't want thier atheletes taking roids you only have to look at the falling numbers of baseball fans and see the link with yet another player getting cught same with this years tour De France sponsors and fans gave it a wide bearth after multiple doping incidents.
well, steroids, or any performance enhancer, doesnt dispense talent, it merely accents your workout...i've lifted for five years and took legal, over the counter supplements and they do make a difference...maybe a five percent difference, which, in the world of world class athletes, makes the difference between the medal stand and not getting out of the prelims...
you make a very good point about the message legalization would send to kids, tho...but its more or less the message they're getting now, especially here in the states with drugged up ballplayers making fortunes....
and i dont know about the tour de france, but baseball here is as popular as ever...
