My sisiter is suffering from spine pain. post #1  quote:

I am seeking some guidance in what to do next for my sister's spine pain. she is just fed up with what she is suffering; in fact, she don’t even know what it is? It has now been two and a half years & the back pain has only gotten worse. she went to lots of doctors & specialists, went to a chiropractor for months, went to physical therapy, got massage therapy, took suggested supplements, bought a tread mill and walked, did home exercises to strengthen my core, tried to lift correctly and stopped picking up her little girl so much, but still she is in awful pain.

Also, she is not overweight, eat a healthy diet, and only wear good tennis shoes everyday for her back. Over the years the doctors' have told me that she does not have any spinal problems and the problem is "just" muscular.

Just recently, I came across a page on the net: http://www.jdhealthcare.com/brainspine.html which talks about a brain & Spine Hospital. I am thinking about taking my sister there for a treatment because I think that this is her last hope to get a relief from this pain. I would like to know if there is anyone who has ever undergo a treatment there?

Sorry to hear about your sister. I have never been to this hospital but if you ask your doctor he or she should be able to give you some advice about it.

Has your ssiter considred things like alternative therapies or hydrotherapy? maybe even got to a gym and ask the trainers there for light excercises to build up her back muscles may help. I know a few people who had back injuries and these seemed to help them.

Can you go into a little more detail about the pain? My wife had to have surgery on her spine a few months after we had our daughter due to what can be described as a "blood tumor" in the spinal cord. She's great now, but she was in intolerable amounts of pain, couldn't pick up our daughter, or really anything for that matter. The doctors said it may have been cause by the epidural (sp?) she was given for child birth.

Hello everyone, I am sorry for replying late but I was very busy and didn't have much time for myself recently.

Fortunately it was nothing like that. By the way, I am sorry for your wife...is she alright now?

The doctor again said the same thing, that it was muscular pain.

She got a treatment there and now she is a lot better.

Good to hear about your sister! That's great news.

My wife is doing great now, but had we not asked for a second opinion, and had they not found it, she would probably be paralyzed from the waist down right now. Yeah, she chases our little girl around all day, works out... other than slight residual pain that will always be somewhat present (They literally had to peel every nerve ending off of the tumor), she's great. Thank you for asking.
