Isaiah Washington Victim of Gay Power post #1  quote:

Because of accusation he used [ homophobic slur ( )] by white cast mate T.R.Knight(who is gay).

ABC Television Studio has confirmed that fans of tv show "Grey's Anatomy" won't see Isaigh Washinton scrub in as his character Dr. Burke anymore.

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore... and that's whats so shocking and disappointing. "

He wasn't fired because of some word gay community doesn't like. This is some orchestrated plan to have him remove from show and I'm sure his skin complexion was why.

You're out of your mind man. Is everything bad that ever happens to any person with dark skin sue to racial intolerance? Are you that guy Malcolm? It's dissapointing if you are. He basically tied their hands. You can't say those things publicly in this day and age and get away with it. I don't agree with what they're doing to him, but honestly man, he should know better than to be intolerant of someone like that. Especially someone he works with.

If it was 1957, I'd grant you that it was probably due to the color of his skin. But that's "Hollywood" and it's 2007, the color of your skin doesn't matter to them if you bring in the money. The only unfortunate part is that, at least right now, more cool in the entertainment industry to be gay.

Malcom, Michael Richards says the 'N' word and you flip out. Washington says *** a few times and you think it's some gay power backlash because he lost his job.

Those racial covered glasses you see the world through never cease to amaze me.

Let me re-phrase what I was saying about it being more cool to be gay.

What I find unfortunate about it, is that characteristics, not character, is still how people are viewed.

What are "those things" he said in pubic that cannot be said?

Backstage at some award show he denied using the word ****** to some reporters. Statement most humans would say. Conservative white female uses it and its forgotten.

This shows Washintgton was victim of a set up and made an example by most white gay comunnity to show what happens if that word is used. No matter the context.

I see what you're trying to say. He was asked what the word was that got him in trouble and when he said it he got in more trouble. Kind of like getting that one Superman villan to same his name backwards so he goes back to his own dimension.

"The 43-year old actor was called out for telling reporters backstage, right after Grey's was named Best TV Drama Series at the Globes, THAT HE HAD NEVER CALLED COSTAR T.R. KNIGHT a '******' during a dustup on the set."

This is why he lost his job? made to almost get on his knees aplogize like a kid? gave up his EMMY? only cast member not to raise ?

He did everything GLAAD demanded was told he would return for 4th season . I hope he sues gay community, what they did to him was wrong.

A) How does one go about suing the gay community?

B) Even if he was set up, how do you figure it was because of the color of his skin?

A) By suing the popular gay organizations GLAAD & the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against DEFAMATION ( ADL involved?).

B) Because race isn't mention doesn't mean it wasn't a factor. Its implied and requires CRITICAL THINKING with acceptance of the FACTS.

- Because of accusation by gay actor T.R. mcKnight Washinghton job was taken ( in the democratic country). He was guilty before he could prove his innocence.

Ann Coulter uses the same word and has become more popular. GLAAD made Washington go on apology tour ( , give up his award, his annual raise, promise his job was secure, hurt his career, involved his family...).

Ann Coulter says she won't apologize and she says nobody can make her. GLAAD and " gay community" are silent and not as outrage similar to Washington

It doesn't mean it was a factor either. Really, the fact that you're convinced it was race related, with no actual evidence to back your beliefs, shows racism on your part.

Ann Coulter is a... I don't think I can use that language on this board, but she's a cancerous, angry little person, and everyone knows that. The difference is that she's up front about it, where as Mr. Washington tried to deny it. Even Farrakhan has said he has more respect for someone who is up front about what they believe than some one who, how did it go... "Makes themselves out to be an angel, but is nothing but a devil". (That's not a direct quote, but it was when he was speaking about apartheid in South Africa and racism in America.)

I think intolerance is the issue here, and since you first posted this thread Mr. Washington has admitted that he said "bad things", so where's your leg to stand on with this? McKnight was the victim here, whether you like it or not. Washington is the one who was showing intolerance, and don't you think if he honestly thought he was being let go because of the color of his skin, he would be doing more about it?

He knows better, and you should to. Just because Isaiah Washington is black, it doesn't give him the right to be intolerant of anyone. Trust me, if this had even the slightest stench of racial intolerance, I'd be on your side. However, it just doesn't man, not at all. If it comes out in the wash that it was the case, I'll apologize to you and aide in anyway I can to legally retaliate against the show, the network... whatever it takes man.

I'm one hundred percent against intolerance Malcolm, and in this case, Isaiah was the one in the wrong. He may not have deserved all that he got as far as "punishment", but in this day and age, especially in the public eye, people need to know when it's best to just keep their mouths shut.

Oh, and it wasn't just because of accusations, other people heard it as well. Fellow cast members, crew... more than just the two of them. Lodgebo brings up a great point. Because if the shoe was on the other foot, and McKnight came out and said "I did not call Isaiah a (n word)" you would be out of your mind with rage. You can't have it both ways man.

OUR reaction would be the same as any culture that continues to be insulted, but whatever OUR reaction Mcknight would not lose his job or suffer any of the consequences Washington has been throurgh.

He probably would become more popular and get more movie offers.
