Blair's aids are, just like Bush's aids, starting to tumble. Looks like Blair's pals are going to be arrested for corruption any day now. And here we have Blair selling himself like some political whore for campaign funds. Are we getting the politicians we deserver? Maybe so.
quote:
In another blow, The Sunday Telegraph published a damning Labour Party document that outlined the roles of the Prime Minister, his chief fund-raiser, Lord Levy, and Mr Blair's most senior advisers in luring donors by giving them access to senior Labour figures and "creating a reason to give". These included flattering donors' offers of policy advice and arranging private meetings with Mr Blair.
The cash-for-peerages investigation was sparked by allegations the Labour Party had sold nominations for the House of Lords for secret loans of £14 million.
Wellwe all knew that this was going on so it's no shock really. Peerages aside I am so sick of Blair he is up here every week talking us down and the BEG's yes BEG's us not to give him a political hammering roll on 3rd of May and hopefully Socltand and English council will give him the boot up the arse he has deserved for the last 5 years.

Aren't the SNP out in front in the polls in Scotland, making them the dominant party? Knocking out Labour in Scotland would be a fitting end to 10 years of Blair's rule.
Seems to me there are so many nightmares coming home to roost for Blair right now. I can't see him leaving office without his legacy and reputation in tatters, a very small consolation.
Well the SNP are out in front but they have been out infront on the last 2 elections and ended up losing so who knows how it will go but the things is that all the parties love it when Blair comes up to Scotland because he is so disliked you would think a Scottish PM would be popular but Blair has lost the trust of the UK not just Scotland.
You are right about his legacy he is facing a foreign policy that has been centred on the Middle East which is now a disaster, his most senior figures facing jail, a party that is split, losing Scotland in the election and Labour heartlands in England ( is'nt there a Welsh election to?) and more questions than answers over issues like trident, energy problems. The other issue is that Brown is so unpopular in England that he would lose any election in the future, looks like the labour party is imploding nd that is nobody but Blair's fault.
