If you mean the finals....I disagree. Neither one of them have the fan base to keep them going. Haley did okay last night, and Sanjaya was adorable last night...but neither if them have a strong voice to go much further.
I admit that Sanjaya was great during the auditions, but has fallen since then...IMO.
Anyways, I wish them both the best, regardless of the ending.

Where is everyone who used to post on this site? Have you all lost interest?? SanJaya can not sing well enough to be on the program at this point. I think even he knows that, but the stupid public (some of them, anway ) keep voting for him. It's almost cruel to keep him on.
What do you all think of so many contestants being on the program who ALREADY sing professionally. Somehow, I don't think professional singers should be on the program - Melinda Doolittle, for instance. She's using the program to get over her shyness so she can move out of being a background singer - she has enough talent to be upfront. But is that a good reason to vote her as an American Idol - because you got over your shyness?
There are a ton of backup singers around. They arent really considered "professional" in the term you are meaning.
I mean, sure, they get paid, but not all backups really get a chance to be known. It may take a show like this to get them noticed.
I like Melinda...she has a great voice. But in all honesty, who would have really ever heard her had she never been on the show?
I've never seen her. I never saw or heard Brandon, who sang backup for Jennifer Lopez. Who really pays attention to the backups when the star is the one being noticed?
I think its okay for them to try out...just because they got paid some crappy money for backup doesnt mean that they dont deserve to get their chance at fame.
As for Sanjaya...he's cute...but never did I EVER think that Chris would have gone home before Sanjaya or Haley...no way.
What was America thinking? Of course...did you get a look at that little girl crying when Sanjaya sang? Those are the votes he is getting. These girls are gonna grow up saying "what in the hell was I thinking??" Thats a fact. The kid is adorable...but not an American Idol by any means.

hi sointeresting, i really like your view on the topic of melinda, she's totally using it to become a star!
on the other hand, i've heard sanjaya, antonella, and haley on myspace, just their music, it's actually pretty good, they have nice voices and they certainly put paris hilton to shame.
Every year the website that tells people to vote for the worst? Well...its working yet again.
I mean if Taylor Hicks could win, I guess Sanjaya can win. *PUKE* on his singing skills.
Lets face it...more than half the winners at this point don't have the sales to back them up as being deserving to have won ie: Ruben, Fantasia, & Taylor.
