Lies post #1  quote:

They tell me
There's the moon and the stars
And the skies and nothing beyond the skies.
Lies!
There's God beyond the skies,
I tell you.
When that woman gave birth
To her little son
She didn't feel that the Earth
Travels around the sun.
It's all one to the tellers of lies
Who believe the Earth and the skies
Were not made by the One
Who never behaves out of fun,
But were made by chance
Like the meeting of a girl and a boy
Who came to dance.
Lies!
They call themselves wise
But would they tell me why
A girl doesn't look like a guy
Nor does sunset look like sunrise
Nor do I look like my siblings?
Would they please tell me
Who made the soul that makes the flute weep?
Who made the bird's twitter
Different from the bleat of sheep?
Would they be bitter
If I asked why
A vulture flies high in the sky
Whereas a peacock won't go that far?

post #4  quote:

Well, in my poem I asked some questions. you didn't answer them, did you?

Muhammad

What can I say on your day

When every day is your day ?

O Muhammad ! O Taha ! O shafi’na on the Last Day !

From the day you stood to say :

O Man ! I’m but a man

Sent to save you, sent to tell you

The way that’ll lead you away

From the one who led you astray

To the One Who made you ’n the best way

And gave you beauty and bounty in every way

And will yet give you joy where you’ll stay

For ever and ever, as you say !

From that day,

O Muhammad ! O Taha ! O shafi’na on the Last Day !

Men came to you on foot and horseback ;

They said as you said

And prayed as you prayed

And when attacked, they fought back.

You lived in a shack

While your beauty was brighter than the moon ;

You ate with your hands

While one with your beauty would use a gold spoon ;

You sat on the sands

While one with your glory

Would build himself storey upon storey :

And that’s why your story

Has gone as far as Brunei and Zinjibar

And London and New York

Where people eat with a knife and fork,

They too say as you said

And pray as you prayed

And when wrongly questioned, they answer back.

O Muhammad ! O Taha ! O shafi’na on the Last Day !

What can I say on your day

When every day is your day ?

From just a few those who came to you

Filled every hill, swamped every dale,

They made Time stand still till their tale

Made the mightiest kingdoms frail

And brought the Muslim flag as close as Prague !

The Arabian Nights tells of made-up knights

And of Harun al-Rasheed

Whose life the Truth of your Message

Made eed upon eed !

And yet someone came to draw

A pic of a man whose peer he never saw,

And papers and commentators

Seeking cheap money and fake glory

Made every story

Out of the Story of the man whose glory

Defies all Posts and all Tribunes and all Times !

O Muhammad ! O Taha ! O shafi’na on the Last Day !

What can I say on your day

When every day is your day ?

When your name has brought fame

To a Dane who became insane ?

What can I say on your day

When night and day

Souls repeat your words

As if they were songs of jungle birds !

Peace be upon you and all those who followed your way !

O Muhammad ! O Taha ! O shafi’na on the Last Day !

OK, Ok, please forgive me Lagouader if I seemed antagonistic. It is just that I was raised a Catholic, then I studied the History of Catholicism. So then I looked wholeheartedly into Islam, only to find more unreasonable individuals who put the emphasis on dogma rather than the spiritual beauty of the religion.

If you wish to express yourself via poetry great. Just don't deny that if the holiest man of every religion were to climb the highest mountain and cry out to God, He (and for you feminist NAZI's especially in America, God is a masculine initiator before a feminine receptor!) would answer them in the voice that each one understood, through the medium they understood.

So what's your point? Are you entertaining some obscure thought that perhaps I will convert to Islam or do you believe the viewing of Christian Westerners converting to Islam justifies an assertion that perhaps Islam is a better religion?

In either case, in depth review of spiritual as well as historical facts of every type will demonstrate strengths and weaknesses in both religions. And then we can look at the inflexibility of the two religions towards one another and sweep them aside as just another batch of information competing for the minds of men. In fact, most practitioners of the two religions have little idea of the higher nature of spirituality and fall for all sorts of misleading dogmas.

Did I say the opposite of what you said, dear USMC_Sniper? With the difference that I do bow to ALLAH.

Read this excerpt from one of my essays posted on this forum:

Modern means of communication and transportation together with modern educational systems have made world interaction incredibly easier every day. More and more people are coming out of illiteracy. More and more people are learning more and more about each other. More and more people are coming towards each other. Emigration, tourism and business travel are playing a great role in the ever-increasing exchange of human experience. Globalisation will push this exchange even further.

It is again interesting to remember that Islam entered many parts of the world without having to draw the sword for it. Indonesia and parts of sub-Saharan Africa are such places where Islam was introduced through trade rather than war.

This is still possible today. There is no need for cluster bombs to promote Christianity or for suicide-bombings to promote Islam. Islam is for freedom of choice. Islam is self-confident because the Koran says it is the true Word of God. So truth will out in the end. Otherwise, why should it be called truth ? There should be no fear, therefore, for a Christian priest to talk about Christianity live on Iqraa TV, or for a Muslim imam to talk about Islam live on World Harvest Radio. Why shouldn’t there be a fair competition between all ? Truth will out !

I don't like the idea of spreading religion through violence just like you. I believe in freedom of choice. I choose to not worship any religion. I have read many religious texts and i have seen that most tell the same message. And all state that they are the word of god.

But religion is the one thing that separates us all. it is the one dividing influence in all our lives. it prevents us from uniting as humans. More people have been killed and more country razed because they worship a different absolute being. This is why i choose not to worship. we need to stop dividing ourselves into groups and come together as people.

Stripped of it's dogmatic casing, the bullet of spirituality is in every religion. I recomend the book of
Ecclesiastes. Especially Ecclesiastes 9:11. the world today holds wisdom in very low esteem. The powerfull however consult wisdom daily.

Well Sniper, that's the differance between you, a Marine and me a U. S. ARMY PARATROOPER!

One of my first lessons was PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!

It is in the contradictions that balance is achieved. Moderation in all things, take the middle path. These are sayings that have there origin in wisdom.

You realize not that flaw is part of perfection and that perfection in misinterpreted to mean flawless. A MAN'S GOT TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS (Clint Eastwood). What do your flaws and contradictions in thought and behavior tell you about yourself, or are you to afraid to do the necessary soul searching to find out.
This is the true courage.

Wisdom is timeless and encompasses all things. It knows the times and the seasons. You can live your life anyway you want to. But will your legacy be that of a wise man or a fool!!!

AIRBORNE, (DEATH FROM ABOVE!) UUUUURRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heaven: Fact or Fancy?

As a kid I was told of a good place called «Heaven» and a bad place called «Hell». I was taught that good people would go to Heaven and bad people to Hell and that it was God who would decide who should go where. As I grew older, I came to realize that not all people believe in Heaven and Hell. Now I believe in Heaven and Hell still. I wish to go to Heaven because there is nothing more than Heaven I can ever dream of.

I know that if I like sightseeing, I can’t see all the parts of the world. If I love animals, I can’t see all the animals of the world. If I love money, I can’t have all the money of the world. If I love flowers, I just can’t see and smell all the flowers of the world. If I love beautiful women, I can’t meet all the beautiful women of the world.

I know that if I had a palace, I would wish to have more. If I had ten beautiful women, I would wish to have more. If I visited a thousand wonderful places, I would wish to visit more. I know that if I had thousands of horses, camels, cars, houses, I would still wish to have more and more. I know that if I lived a thousand years, I would wish to live longer. Only Heaven could quench my thirst.

But is Heaven fact or fancy? Why do people not believe in Heaven? Maybe because it isn’t a place that tourist operators know of and where they can send their clients aboard their planes and ships. Maybe because it hasn’t yet been «dicovered» by NASA. Maybe because it’s only a place described in the Bible and the Koran.

Yeah, that’s true. There are things in the Koran, for example, that look like fiction.

Let’s see this:
