TV Trash or Treasure? post #1  quote:

This thread is being established to discuss the many items we see being offerred on TV to help our lives. Items in the past that come to mind are the Ginsu knives, Thighmaster, and Chia Pet. Some of the latest items to be advertised include the 'Lil Reminder, the Vadalia Chop Wizard and the Gorilla Hook.

What do you think of these gadgets? What are your favorites? Which do you find idiotic or beneficial? Which gadgets have you heard of?

I just purchased the 'Lil Reminder for my mother to aid her in remembering where she parks when she goes to the store. I like the simplistic buttons, along with the size of the buttons. The digital recordings are clear and playback is good. IMO, it was worth the price ($9.99).

My mother wanted me to purchase the Gorilla Hooks and the Quik Brites mini-lights. The Gorilla Hooks are a large hook with a sharp point on one end that the person must push through a drywall. The spring steel hook (since it is curved) impales itself into the back side of the drywall to stabilize itself so a picture of some item up to 150 lbs. can be hung.

The Quik Brites are small mini-lights that you can place in a drawer or a cabinet so the area is lighted when you open the drawer or the cabinet door. I can understand using them in a bottom cabinet where light barely reaches. But how many people leave the lights off in their room when they open a drawer?! Bad advertising on that one, I think.
