Interim coach Bob Bradley is 2-0 counting todays victory, US soccer needs to either hire another coach or anoint Bradley permanent coach.
As for the game, the first half was disjointed and tentative on both sides. Exceptions were Tim Howard, Chris Albright and Jimmy Conrad in defense for the US, and Omar Bravo's offensive runs down the left side for Mexico.
Conrad started the scoring in the 54th minute when he was allowed to stand flat footed and place a header just inside the far post from a Landon Donovan corner. Donovan closed the scoring when a Mexican pass hit the official at midfield, a quick pass was made to Donovan, one touch and a burst of speed put Donovan past 2 defenders, and one more touch put him around Oswaldo Sanchez for the easy put-away.
As good as Albright was in the first half , he was downright horrid in the second and was substituted around the 60 minute mark.
The cameras caught something interesting after the second goal that FIFA needs to look at. Eddie Johnson made a run down the right side as Donovan scored, after the goal Johnson ran across the field to congratulate Donovan. As Johnson ran by Sanchez, Sanchez made a studs -up lunge at the backs of Johnsons legs and missed. I dont care if he made contact or not, this kind of behavior shouldnt be tolerated at this or any level. Its sad that such a great rivalry always seems to bring out the worst in some players
