I have loved every single Harry Potter book I've read yet. Both movies out definitly did a good job telling the story!! I can't wait until the book series finishes and more movies are madE!
Thumbs waaaay down down down......it was a complete disappointment. Can anyone honestly say they think that Radcliff guy was fit for the part as Harry.. ? Look at his hair...please...
The movies are no where near as good as the books... but I think that Daniel Radcliff does a great job as Harry. He really does look the part. As do Hermione and Ron, and the rest of the Weasley clan.
Anyway... the movie was pretty darn good!

I really really liked the Sorcerer's Stone movie - it pretty much reflected what I felt reading the book .. I think that they do an incredibly good job on choosing the actors .. (i especially love Ron, Hermione, Snape, Dumbledore, .. well basically everybody) ..
there is just one tiny thing I don't like .. Daniel Radcliffe really looks like the Harry I imagine, he is just such a stiff actor .. I do not like his acting very much, his movements are sometimes weird and most of the times his facial expression doesn't fit the situation .. but he is trying ..
there is one particular situation in the movie when Hagrid comes to the island in the middle of the night and says something like "I'd like ter see a great Muggle like you stop him," and Harry says "a what?" .. and it is so aweful .. the German dubbing is even worse ..
but anyway, i really like the movies for they have wonderful actors, wonderful colors and settings and i love watching them over and over again ..
the books are fantastic and so the only reason I mildly enjoyed the first film was because it was an adaptation of that fantasy world that I've grown to love. However, poor performances, dodgy direction, and not the best script, all prevent this film from standing on its own.
I loved Daniel Radcliff as Harry. He really looked the part. My own little kids love the movie. Even my husband can quote it, so I think it was a good way to get new people to read the book.
Originally posted by Nion Daniel Radcliff wasn't such a good actor...sure he looked like Harry....but Harry was an active boy...when u look at Dani....ewww.he doesn't move alot
Exactly. We grew to like Harry's character in the book because of its complexity and intriguing nature. Are we expected to grow to like Radcliffe's portrayal simply because he looks like that character? No sir. That kid has to do more work that just stand there and look the part.
Who says I can't multi-task? I walked and breathed at the same time at least once today.
Just saw it too Whidden. But I voted thumbs up, not a "great" movie, but it was good..I have yet to see the second one...will soon though, I'm hoping its better than the first...And I have yet to read the book On my books to read list though
