What is happiness? Many people believe that the most important reason to live is to be happy. However, happiness differs among everybody, as different things make different people happy. So my question to you is what makes you happy? How can happiness be achieved? Are you happy? (please be as thorough in your explanation as you'd like).
Just to add.... true happiness is knowing that you have done the Will of God for you... Maybe that means attaining your potential by becoming an instrument of God's love for other people....

But what if you don't belive in god but are a truly happy person?

You mean like innocent kids are happy today but what about tomorrow? Can they stay like that indefinitely without believing in fairy tales such as peter pan? Pls direct that question to those who refuse to believe in God. They are better qualified to answer. Perhaps you want me to ask you this question?
"true happiness is knowing that you have done the Will of God"
The Almighty has chosen you, and every other person for a particular
purpose. The aim of life is to understand the greatness of the
creator. And to search for the purpose for which a soul is given
human life. This purpose differs from person to person because it is
dependent on the past Karma of the soul. (It is as different as our
finger prints, no two are alike). But one thing is sure. Human beings
are the highest of all creation. The rest of the creation is intended
for the use of human beings. All people are expected to enjoy the
creation.
Since creation itself is divine, all people are expected to keep
their lives as happily as possible without interference with others.
When you understand the pupose of your life, then there will be a
meaning to your life, and you will derive the highest happiness of
your life.
I am happy and I don't believe in god. I think happiness comes from inside myself.
nobody but you can tell you if you are happy. It all depends on what you feel would make you happy and doing it.

Best job in the world. (Sitting around with an M40A3)
Don't look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie
Into the TV
Stare like a zombie
While the mother
Holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky crying
Why, oh why?
'cause I need to watch things die
From a distance

Amen to that!

Unfortunately, I feel that your idea of happiness COMPLETELY clashes with mine.
"Every other" means selective, and not for the whole community. My idea of happiness is more like better quality of life for the greater community.
Karma is another term for reward and punishment. Do you mean that the few who are honored to enjoy life reap the reward, whereas the majority who suffer in misery and hopelessness deserve their punishment?
My idea is different…. There is a cross for men to carry and this also leads to the forgiveness of sins. Men have to be transformed in order to become better citizens, they need not suffer indefinitely and consigned to a miserable existence. People can CHANGE and aim to become better citizens. Justice is paramount, where good is rewarded and evil doing punished… and no one should have more privilege than the rest. All men are created equal in the eyes of God.
From the way I read it, your idea of a "few" is synonymous to a “human being”. The rest is considered part of the total Creation and its collective purpose is to prop up the existence and happiness of the few. The idea is to make sure that a select would find all the happiness they wish without interference from the multitudes, which no one can care less.
I don’t think the implication can be considered GOOD NEWS at all. My savior suffered for the sins of men so that by following ONE great example, all kinds of struggle and trials can be overcome. That makes human progress possible.
