I'm just wondering... throughout the entire year, which one of these "holidays" do you enjoy celebrating the most? And, if you feel like sharing what you voted for, after casting your vote (only one choice per person) if you want, also share why it's your favorite.

I had to vote for new years it's a huge deal in Scotland ( bigger then Christmas) and of course Edinburgh has the worlds biggest street party for new years it a great laugh, a bit of first footing and parties going on everywhere and you are always invited.
Halloween is my favorite because I get to walk around in costume and, until I am an adult, anyway, I get free candy. The costume part makes the holiday for me, though. I can take or leave the free candy.
Christmas is my second favorite. I love to shop for people and I LOVE to guess what my presents are and to wake up very early in the morning to open the gifts. Plus the family gets together and we don't just stuff ourselves until we are sick like with Thanksgiving.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain

Really? I would have thought one of the East Asian countries would have a bigger New Year's celebration than anywhere else in the world. I know the Chinese one comes on a different day, but it still counts, doesn't it? And the Japanese one is huge, too, and comes on the same day as in Scotland.

Well I don't about the Japanese new year but I am very sure that Edinburghs celebrations are onf the if not the biggest, I have posted a link below about what goes on, of course something have changed like the fact drink is easier to obtain and also the fact that not so many women want to kiss me but still...
My favorite holiday was halloween, for years. But, when my diabetes got all serious and stuff, a lot of the fun went out of it for me... and I don't know why. I've never been a huge candy person, so it's not that.
Anyway, I totally love christmas, and all the decorating that we do. I LOVE to decorate our place up with all our snowmen, and penguins. It's just so much fun. I love the lights that everyone puts up, and looking at peoples yards and how they fix them up for a month. That's a lot of fun. Then, there is the wrapping of the presents, to give to others. I love to watch someone open up a gift, and see their smiles as they see what they have just received. That's a priceless moment for me. I enjoy receiving gifts too... but giving them is just a blast for me. I enjoy getting together with my family, even if I can't really stand them that much. It's still family. The foods... yummy. It's just the best time of the year. Plus, I hope it's the coolest time of the year too... but, in Southern Cali, you never know. Yesterday (Christmas day) it was in the 70's and I was bummin' because I wanted it to actually be cold.

Doesn't matter... I still added it. Hey, come on... I put "your birthday" as a choice, because that's what some people truly enjoy celebrating, more than anything else. Doesn't mean that anyone on here will... but still, I wanted to put the main holidays... and I just forgot the green day.

I love to celebrate my birthday with my friends. It's really the only time I can get out and party all year seeing as I have four kids at home. Plus, they (my friends, not my kids) all buy me alcohol for my B-day and that's always good..for me.

Good thing that you cleared that up, because we would have totally been thinking that your kids were boozing you up!

I chose my birthday. It's the only day you get for yourself and you can celebrate it with whoever you want and do what you want. it's the best
