Week 11 on Jericho - Nov 29, 2006 - Vox Populi post #1  quote:

As the mayoral election nears, Gray seizes the opportunity to show his strength as a leader when one of Jericho's citizens turns up dead. Gray is convinced he knows who committed the crime and launches a manhunt to capture Jonah and restore peace to Jericho. Meanwhile, as playful reminiscing continues to heat up between Jake and Emily, both are hit with a curve ball when an unlikely face returns to Jericho.

I've not yet watched tonights episode, but I'm thinking that since Gracie was stabbed last week, she will be the one to die tonight. And Jonah is being blamed because he was doing a "trade" of the food/profits with her, and Mayor Greene changed that, and Gracie decided to stop working with Jonah. Well, here is the perfect opportunity for Gray to make things look like something else happened. Back in the first episode, I KNOW that Gray killed the man in the mine shaft. He was freaking people out, and wasn't listening to Gray. He will do whatever it takes, to get what he wants. And Gray wants to be the mayor of the town.

As far as a curve ball of an unlikely face returning to Jericho, and affecting Jake and Emily.... well, I think that it is her fiance. Hell, that will make me VERY happy, because, as you all know, I want to see Jake and Heather together.

I was mad at Jake for going with Blondie, when he could have Hottie. Just so wrong.

It was a good episode. But the deaf girl is irratating. Why does she have to act like a mime all the time. And is she married to her brother? Sick....

Bad guy winning the election was a bummer, but makes for good drama.

Well, who knows WHAT will happen now that Roger is back. Though, the dude looked REALLY bad, compared to her flashbacks/dreams of him. She will clean him up, I'm sure. Or, kick him to the curb.

Bonnie (deaf girl) is VERY irritating. Mimi isn't there to steal the farm. She had a job to do, when all the bombs hit. Her life has changed too. And I think that it's great that her and Stanley have hit it off.

I loved the play on names, when Stanley started talking about Brangelina.
Manly, Steami... those were cute.

I think that Gray is going to find that being the mayor isn't all it's cracked up to be. Loved Johnstons reponse to him after Gray said that he will be watching. "Everyone will be watching." Yeppers... they will be watching EVERYTHING that Gray does now, as the mayor.

I think that it was great of Gracie to leave the store to Dale. And I LOVED that he shot that punk ass Mitchell. Hope that he dies... just like Gracie did. The woman was annoying... but, I think that she was going to change, somehow. Never got the chance though.

Emily's dad being pinned for Gracie's murder pissed me off. But, Gray's actions were even worse. He was gonna kill him, like Jake said... blame it on him trying to run off, or something. Jake was right in what he did.

I'm very interested in what happened there, at the end... with Hawkins, and the people on the computer, showing him satellite pics. What's going to happen? Whoever they are.. it sounds like they will be showing up in Feb.

Our previews got cut off by Blizzard coverage, but the part I did see, was a well dressed white dude standing by a plane, talking about the world is theirs for the taking. I think. Hard to tell what he said exactly.

That must be the boss of whatever it is that Hawkin's is part of.

Fall Finale

8 WEEKS AFTER THE BOMBS
1 DAY BEFORE THE ELECTIONS

?Traitor Identified: Make Contact ASAP? flashes across Robert Hawkins? laptop screen. Hawkins is on his laptop in the basement and Samuel is calling for him. Sam wants his dad to teach him how to play football and he insists on playing right now. Robert follows Sam outside to play.

Jake Green is trying to install a hand pump to the ?First Well in Jericho? to get water. Emily and Jake are reminiscing about their past and some of the things they used to do when they were dating each other. Emily Sullivan brings up that she knows that Heather kissed Jake and Jake says he has no plans on hurting Heather.

Dale walks into Gracie?s Market and he finds Gracie Leigh lying on the floor. Dale can see the blood and knows that she?s dead. Dale is crying and he holds her.

Johnston Green is in the Market and Eric Green walks up to him, Johnston tells Eric that Dale found her and there are no witnesses. Gray Anderson believes that Dale could be a suspect. Mitchell Cafferty walks up to Johnston and tells them that Jonah killed Gracie Leigh. Mitch says that Jonah was trying to prove that he?s in charge and says that he will help them track down Jonah Prowse. Gray and Johnston are arguing about the way Johnston is handling the situation. Gray wants blood but Johnston doesn?t really believe Mitchell and wants more proof.

Emily and Jake are still talking about the Sinead O?Connor song but Emily will not tell Jake the name of the song. Jake walks Emily home and she goes inside the house by herself. Emily walks in and Jonah is in the house with a gun.

Jake walks over to City Hall and talks about the murder with Eric, Johnston and Gail. They are all going over to Jonah?s compound to find Jonah. Dale wants to go with them but they do not want Dale to go. The Green?s still haven?t figured out who the real murderer is and they just want to bring Jonah in. Gail tells Dale that she needs to talk to him about something important.

Bill and Jimmy are talking about finding Jonah. Bill says that Gray wants to make an example out of Jonah. They are talking about how Gray has changed. Bill is for Gray but Jimmy is with Johnston for the Mayor election.

Bonnie walks into the house and notices all the dishes and clothes. The house is a mess so she goes over to find Stanley. She walks into Stanley?s room and sees Stanley with Mimi and then she walks out the house. Bonnie is upset and drives away after arguing with Stanley about him sleeping with the IRS woman, the same woman that came to take their farm away.

Robert is outside playing catch with Samuel. Sam is asking Robert questions about football and Robert doesn?t know the answers. Robert wants to go back to work but he?s still trying to spend time with Sam. Darcy knows about football and helps Samuel throw the football. Jake drives up and asks Robert for help.

Jake and Robert are driving over to the compound to talk to Jonah. Robert mentions friends and family and then Jake turns around. Jake knows to check Emily?s house instead of Jonah?s compound.

Dale is talking with Gail. Gail says she has some things to explain to him. Gracie changed her Will and signed the store over to Dale. Gail tells Dale that she?ll be there if he needs him. Dale doesn?t believe that he deserves that store after the way he spoke to Gracie and the fact that he quit. Gail reminds Dale that Gracie loved him and that even though he fought with her it doesn?t mean that they didn?t care about each other.

Jake pulls up to Emily?s house and then Gray and all his men pull up to the house trying to find Jonah. Emily walks out of the house alone. Gray says that he wants to talk to Jonah. Gray insists that he?s going to look around Emily?s house before he leaves. Robert helps Jake out by saying that he will patrol with Gray and then Gray and all of his men leave. Jake doesn?t leave because he knows that Jonah is in the house with Emily and he insists on going into the house. Jake walks into the house and Jonah is there with a gun.

Jonah is in shock and he says that he didn?t kill Gracie Leigh. Jonah is wounded and says that he needs Jake to get him out of town. Jonah explains that the men turned against him after he wouldn?t kill his own daughter when she drove the truck into the compound. Jake is upset that Jonah came over to Emily?s house and put her in danger but Emily just wants a doctor. Jake leaves to get Dr. Kenchy.

Bonnie is talking to Dale and asked him what happened to Gracie. Dale tells Bonnie that Gracie was murdered. Skylar runs over and gives Dale a hug. Sean and a group of kids want to go into Gracie?s store and raid it but Dale tells them that it?s his store now. Sean makes a smart remark to Dale about things working out in his favor that Gracie died and he owns the store now. Dale punches Sean and then the fight is broken up immediately.

Darcy asks Robert if he found the guy (Jonah). Robert says he needs to go to the basement and work on some things. Darcy is worried that all Robert is doing is going back and forth from the basement on his laptop to outside patrolling. Darcy is trying to tell Robert how things have changed with him being around the house. She wants Robert to spend more time with his family.

Jake gets Dr. Kenchy and wants him to help him with Jonah. Kenchy has been drinking but he goes over to Emily?s house with Jake to help out.
Kenchy gave Jonah a shot for the pain and patches his arm up. Jake believes that if he gets his dad that he?ll be able to protect Jonah until they can prove who did what. Jake leaves the house to go talk to his father.
Jonah has no plans of turning himself in and he leaves Emily?s house when Emily and Dr. Kenchy leave the room.

Robert Hawkins is getting a message asking for his coordinates on his laptop. Robert responds correctly with his coordinates but then he pauses. He?s not sure if he will give the right coordinates and then he changes his message to ?compromised?proceed without me?

Gray is getting everyone riled up as he gives a speech outside of Gracie?s Market. Gray wants to use Jonah as an example of how tough he will be with law enforcement and protecting the people of Jericho. He makes a big speech asking people to vote for Gray Anderson as Mayor of Jericho.

Stanley and Mimi are working on the farm when Mimi tells Stanley that she made a mistake. Mimi says that they can?t be ?together? any more. Stanley tells Mimi that she?s demanding and obnoxious and totally self-absorbed. Mimi tries to warn Stanley that they will not work out but Stanley just makes jokes and then kisses her.

Jake and Johnston are arguing about Jake knowing that Jonah was at Emily?s house. Johnston knows that they can all get in trouble for ?helping? Jonah. Jake wants to bring him in but Emily walks in and tells them that Jonah is gone.

Jonah is out on the run. Gray is chasing him in a truck with armed men out on the road. They pick Jonah up and drive him over to City Hall.
Jake arrives at City Hall just in time to see that Gray has caught Jonah. Gray is showing the whole town that he caught Jonah as he?s taking him into custody at City Hall.

Gray won the election. Gray is being sworn in as Mayor of Jericho. Gray is making a speech and his first act as Mayor is to distribute the food from the food drop immediately. Gray then addresses the murder of Gracie Leigh and says that justice will be swift.

Jake is talking to Jonah and wants to know why he ran away. Jonah tells Jake that his father can?t protect him because Gray is the Mayor.
Emily apologizes to Jake about Johnston losing the election, but Jake doesn?t think it?s Jonah?s fault but that the people wanted Gray to be the Mayor.

Mitchell is visiting Dale at the store and he asks Skylar to leave. Mitchell tells Dale that he?s going to need protection. Mitchell tells Dale that he gets half the cut or else the same thing will happen to him that happened to Gracie.

Mimi is knitting and Stanley notices that she is knitting something that his mother started. Stanley jokes and says that his mother would?ve liked Mimi but he knows that his mother wouldn?t approve of her. Bonnie sees Mimi and Stanley kissing and gives Stanley a disappointed look.

Johnston is at City Hall just looking around. Jake is apologizing to his father about losing the election. Dale goes up to Johnston and tells him that Mitchell Cafferty killed Gracie.

Gray was going to move Jonah to another cell but then Johnston says that they didn?t have a trial yet. Gray?s true feelings about Jonah come to the surface. Gray wants to get Jonah no matter what happened even though Dale admitted what Mitchell told him he killed Gracie. Jake challenges Gray and holds a gun to Jonah?s head. Gray takes the gun away from Jake and points it at Jonah. Gray backs down from shooting Jonah at the last second.

Jonah agrees to leave town and not come back. Gray says he?s going to handle Mitchell Cafferty. Johnston says that the town wasn?t always safe but there has always been democracy and that the whole town will be watching Gray.

Robert Hawkins is outside with Sam and tells him that his father was in the Air Force and that he was gone a lot and didn?t have time to teach him sports.

Jonah is staying with Emily and they talk about Chris (Emily?s brother/Jonah?s son) and what happened to him. Jonah tells Emily that Jake wanted out of the gang and that she shouldn?t blame Jake for what happened to Chris (Chris was killed). Jonah tells Emily that Jake still loves her and then he leaves.

Bonnie drives into town and sees Sean on his skateboard. He asks Bonnie if she has a curfew and she says no, so he jumps in the truck with Bonnie and they drive off.

At Bailey?s Bar, Eric is over to see Mary and teases her for using the electricity for the jukebox and not for lights. There are candles everywhere at Bailey?s Bar.
Jake can see Eric and Mary happy together when Emily walks in and tells Jake that Jonah has left. Emily says it almost feels normal, then ?their? song comes on the jukebox. It?s ?Nothing Compares 2 U? by Sinead O?Connor.
Jake and Emily are dancing to the song. Emily asks Jake about Heather and then Jake asks Emily about Roger and they almost kiss.

Eric is yelling for Jake to go outside. There are a group of refugees walking into Jericho and they have no idea where they came from. Emily spots out Roger in the group.

Mitchell Cafferty is at the compound smoking when someone flashes a light on him. The person that appears is Dale and he shoots Mitch.

Robert gets a message from his laptop asking why he is lying about his situation and then he receives a detailed photograph of himself outside playing football. He is left with a message?
?See you soon?.
