Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes did indeed get married in Italy on Saturday. Yesterday, they flew out of Rome en route to their honeymoon in the Maldives. The wedding went down at the Odescalchi castle, in a town 27 miles northwest of Rome. It was performed by a Scientology minister in front of about 150 guests. Celebrities in attendance included fellow Scientologists John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Kirstie Alley and Leah Remini. Also on hand were David and Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Brooke Shields, Richard Gere, Russell Crowe, director J.J. Abrams, Jim Carrey and his girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy.
Britney Spears's post-breakup tour took her to Las Vegas, where she won big at the blackjack table and partied with "Dancing with the Stars" Mario Lopez. After stops in New York and her Louisiana hometown of Kentwood, Britney and her former manager Larry Rudolph, arrived in Nevada and kept a low profile before finally hitting the town on Friday. Britney put on a pink wig and big, dark sunglasses, but was spotted in the Palms Casino Resort Friday night talking to owner George Maloof – this, after she and George went on a shopping trip to Caesars Palace's Forum Shops.

Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson filed for divorce from his estranged wife Kate Hudson and called in Britney Spears' attorney Laura Wasser to fight for custody of his son Ryder. The high-powered divorce lawyer filed papers in Los Angeles Friday citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the divorce, which will end her client's six-year marriage to actress Hudson. Robinson is seeking joint custody of his two-year-old son, but is not seeking spousal support as part of the financial settlement.
Sources claim that singer John Mayer and Jessica Simpson have been spending time together again! Spies say on Saturday night, John & Jessica were spotted together at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Los Angeles. "Jessica Simpson is at the bar at the Four Seasons [hotel] with John Mayer. She totally had her head on his chest, and now they are canoodling." Minutes later, the maybe-more-than-friends duo left with a large group.
