I saw it, yesterday, during a commercial on tv, and I was extremely unimpressed. I don't think that the movie industry will be claiming $10 off of me for this one.

Oh come on...
The first Rocky was pretty far-fetched and unimpressive looking too. A 30 year old washed up idiot taking on the world champion? And dating his only friend's sister? No one thought he stood a chance, including him. And he doesn't even win, he gets a draw. Underdog story.
Now he's a 60 year old washed up idiot, so he's an underdog again. His wife is dead. No one thinks he stands a chance, not even his son. Don't watch it in theaters if you don't want but at least appreciate the inspirational message behind it... that if you want something it's yours for the taking, provided you're willing to do what it takes which is over come all the adversity that comes with age and doubt.
"What's wrong with standing toe to toe and saying I AM?"
Please pardon my pseudo-intellectuaphilisophicalismysiticality.
I've got to say this one does interest me more than any of the others did... but I won't see it in the cinema either. There's nothing really that would warrents spending the money. Still, I'll grab the video when its out.

It's like, fool me with Rocky III, shame on me. Fool me with Rocky IV, well, shame on me again. Rocky V, shame on you. Rocky Balboa? Well, you can't be fooled again...

Wait, there's a saying in Texas - I think it's Texas - it's fool me with Rocky III, shame on... shame on you. Fool me, can't get fooled again.
Probably a Philly saying, I don't know.
Stallone can't really get backed by a studio for a movie unless it's another Rocky or Rambo, unfortunately. You never know, it may be alright. I like the idea of this old fart going up against some young fellow, just because he likes having the crap beaten out of him.
Is he poor again in this movie? The thing that bugged me about Rocky was he was poor, then rich, then he was poor, then he was rich, then he was poor. What the hell, you get a million dollars, you're pretty set for life - unless you're snorting it.

Whidden said this in post #9 : At least in Rocky 3 and 4, he didn't wear that stupid looking hat. It was back for Rocky 5 and now in Rocky 6.
I liked that hat. It looks tough. Reminded me of that cartoon with the big bulldog with the tough hat and the little dog pal that chased him around and giddy and stuff. I need a hat like that.

I was hoping someone got that

I like Stallone. Copland was a great flick. Right now studios are in recycle mode and are pissing out prequels, reboots and sequels of long since dead franchises. That's why we have another Die Hard and Indiana Jones. People will see it regardless, just like Rocky Balboa. Except for me. But I will see Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard.
Rocky did buy that robot in Rocky III, maybe it cost too much money. Robots can be expensive.
And it looks like the dude from Heroes is his son. And what's this about Adrian dying? Sucks. Next thing you know they'll kill Apollo. And his trainer. And the robot. Weak.
I just think that he's got nothing else to give, so they are bring back Rocky, for another try. I don't think that it's going to be a hit. They are hoping for it... but too many people saw how bad the last two Rocky movies were. I don't think that I would even be willing to watch this on tv.

Yes, Peter Petrelli plays his son. That would be the only reason that I would see this movie. But, then again, I'm just not interested.

I was on IMDB, and despite the fact that Sly is 60, the dude he's fighting is actually 38.
The actor isn't an actor at all, he's a boxer named Atonio Tarver. But get this- his name in the movie is Mason 'The Line' Dixon. Freakin' Stallone wrote and directed this for sure.
