week 7 "Long Live the Mayor" post #1  quote:

While the town prepares to celebrate Halloween, Gray Anderson returns after traveling outside of town and reports back the horrific things he saw while he was away. Upon his return, Gray is able to provide more information about which towns were hit by bombs and which cities were not affected. Having witnessed unspeakable terror, Gray is determined to protect the citizens from danger. To this end he wants to interrogate all new citizens of Jericho who came before or after the attacks, including Hawkins. Meanwhile Jake tries to negotiate with Jonah Prowse, who came back to town to get the member of his gang who was being held for stealing horses and food. Emily tells Heather a bit more about her former relationship with Jake.

I liked the main bad guy. He was cool.

I really don't dig the IRS chick, or the grocery store owner. They both irk me. I don't like the nerd guys girlfriend either.

I like the dark haired love interest for the main hero. And blondie chick is growing on me. She is looking better as the season goes along. Her face takes some getting used to.

We found out the nukes were from guys in trucks, and that New York caught them first. So it wasn't from a missle strike.

Makes you wonder if Government Spy guy was in on the plot or not. If he knew about it, why didn't he warn the nation? Makes me think he is a bad guy.

Maybe he just had a hunch that something was gonna go down, and the only thing that he truly cared about was his own life, and that of his family. My first reaction would be to get those that I love out of harms way. So, I don't blame Hawkins for that. Now, if he really knew a lot more than that, then he should have said something. But, then again, maybe he did, and wasn't taken seriously, so he thought, "Screw you Mr. President... you don't wanna listen... see ya in hell!"

I loved Heather, and her reaction to Jake getting ready to leave. She kissed him, and he totally reacted to it, and seemed to be happy. That made me happy. I don't want him hooking back up with Emily. I like the chemistry with Jake and Heather.

That IRS chick is annoying... but, I completely understood her this week. After all, she's in this town, where the majority of people still have their friends, family, loved ones, etc... She has held on to hope for four weeks, and just found out that everything she held dear in her heart, was wiped out. I think that this will be a turning point for her, and her and Farmer Boy will hook up, eventually.

Emily's dad, being the "Bad" leader, was a good twist. And, we got a bit of back info there. He sends people out on "jobs" and Jake knew that it wasn't a good thing to do, and tried to stop Chris (Emily's brother) from going. He himself left town. So, that's why the "bad blood" between Emily and Jake, because her brother was killed.

That biotch that owns the store pisses me off. Sure, we've all got to keep order, and do the best that we can... but damn. She was so rude to people, and to try to keep that antique box, and lie about it. WHY? Sure, that girl has been stuck up, but she is totally changing. And now, with the hope that her parents are still alive... I think that it's great. It's given her a second chance.
