As Tigh and Starbuck stir up discontent aboard the Galactica, a new and deadly virus forces the Cylons to take drastic measures to protect the future of their race. Even as Adama risks his life to hold his crew together, Baltar realizes that he must face the irrational wrath of the Cylons alone.
:::>^..^<::: ~*~The Journey is more important than the end or the start~*~ :::>^..^<:::
Baltar remains a prisoner within the Cylon fleet, alive only because his captors believe that he can lead them to a new home: Earth. Indeed, hoping to find the mythical planet for himself, Baltar has pinpointed a nebula that might have been a navigation point for the thirteenth tribe on their ancient journey to Earth. The Cylons send a base ship to investigate. Meanwhile, aboard the Galactica, Gaeta deciphers Baltar's abandoned research notes and also locates the nebula. Eager to resume the quest for Earth, Roslin orders Adama to explore it.
As the humans and the Cylons unsuspectingly hurtle toward a rendezvous, the Galactica's crew struggles to resume everyday life after the harrowing events on New Caprica. Helo helps Sharon pick a new callsign: Athena. The Viper pilots, now commanded by Apollo, dogfight against each other for practice. After Starbuck carelessly risks her ship, Apollo grounds her.
Col. Tigh is also at loose ends because Helo has unofficially replaced him as Adama's right-hand man. Tigh and Starbuck — both angry, traumatized survivors of the occupation — soon join forces, deriding everyone who didn't suffer as they did and insinuating that their comrades are too weak-minded to resist the Cylons. They don't suspect how far Adama is willing to go to win them back to his side.
Far away, Caprica Six tells Baltar about her people's power of projection, which enables Cylons to see the universe as they wish. For example, where Baltar sees a bleak Cylon hallway, Caprica sees a beautiful forest. Disenchanted with her former lover, Caprica arrogantly assumes that Baltar can't understand the experience, but Baltar — who still has a vivid relationship with the Six in his mind — understands it all too well. He's struck by a secret, devastating suspicion: if his daydreams of Six are actually caused by projection, then he might be a Cylon.
Having reached the nebula, the Cylon scout ship transmits back a garbled distress call. It has been infected with a virus that kills all Cylon life. Horrified, the Cylons realize that they can't even resurrect their dying comrades, because the virus will then be transmitted to the rest of their fleet. They don't know what to do until Baltar volunteers to investigate. By hunting down the virus's source aboard the dying ship, he'll either prove his worth to the Cylons or die of the infection — proving that he's a Cylon himself.

The only thing that I really liked about this episode was Adama's gutsy move, placing Starbucks firearm on the table, and telling her, or Tigh, to pull the trigger, and kill him... or to change their attitudes.
I loved that she went back, cut her hair, put on her uniform, and went to see Kasey. There's hope for our girl...
Tigh, on the other hand... drinking himself into stupidity. I'm not surprised. I wish that HE would have died on New Caprica. I've never liked him, or his attitude. Adama needs to replace him... put Helo in his position. Tigh needs to leave the Galactica. But, I worry what malcontent he is going to spread throughout the fleet, and what the results will be from it.
I didn't like most of the interaction with the cylons, and Baltar. I don't like how it's viewed, all weird lights, etc...

Reminded me of old 60's drug movies. And that hybrid chick in the vat of goo is from Minority Report.
Uh, I was interested the whole time, not blown away. But that's cool. I'm wondering why a super old beacon from Earth would cause a plauge like that.
Also, I get super confused, as to which #6 is on the screen at any given time, as sometimes she is in his head, and sometimes it's his old girlfriend, that don't love him no more.
I enjoy Tigh's rants, I don't agree with them. It's like watching wrestling and the bad guy starts talking trash.
You start drinking like he was and you wind up dead. He was downing those bottles like he was Heck! in Vegas.
I liked the secrecy on the final 5, she made it sound like it's more than just we havn't seen them yet, that they don't speak of it. Like they are very different somehow.
I agree, Adama was cool, he laid down the law to them both, my favorite line was something about not having a one eyed drunk spewing hate. The writers are having fun with the eye thing.
I too am confused with #6, and which one it is, at any given time. The "leader" of the sixes seems to have this strange "relationship" with Baltar, and it's confusing at times, because I wonder if she loves him, or hates him... or both. Then, the one in his head shows up, and disappears.
Yeah, the whole thing about the remaining 5... that will be interesting. Where are they going with that? Are the other 5 in a place, hiding, because of something... or, are they still waiting to show themselves, because they are among the humans still? It will be interesting, none-the-less.
Oh yeah, Tigh was drinking like Heck! in Vegas. Scary.

I like the shows style, but put them in different clothes. Make the one in his head in a red dress, the one in real life in some Cylon Jump suit. Plus he is flashbackin, and you can't tell when he is remembering.
I was going to start calling Fuscia the Colonel, for being big on chicken, but now I wondering if I can get away with calling my fellow senior mod, Colonel Heck!, as he sits in a room like Tigh and downs bottle after bottle of questionable bootleg whiskey?
No, Sharon's daughters name is Hera. She didn't want to be called Boomer, because of what that represented to her (and I don't blame her for that). So, they went with the name Athena, because she's the goddess of war and wisdom. Hera was Athena's mother, or step-mother, so it's not the same.
I liked that Apollo lost the weight, and is back to his old self. Would like to see a bit more interaction between him and Duella though. I liked that he didn't take Starbucks crap, and grounded her.
I don't know what Helo is going to do. But, he is a bridge officer now. I'm assuming that he will take Tigh's place, unless Tigh gets his ass in gear, and cleans up his mind, and attitude.
I wonder if that thing that caused the cylons to get ill, and die, is truly from earth... and if it is, will the cylons die on earth?
