I saw a theory that made me think... why are we assuming the 'cheerleader' that needs to be saved is Claire? Why can't it be another one of the blond chick cheerleader. They had a whole squad of em'.
Also, Peter being Syler I really don't buy. But Syler did call Seresh... and Peter went to Seresh's house saying he got the address from his brothers campaign headquarters...?
Well, I think that Claire is THE cheerleader... and why I think that, is because of her father. If he does something to her, I think that there will be huge problems.

On the NBC Heros official site they had a comic of how D.L. went to prison and escaped. It's only a few pages but it shows this character in a whole new light. Storyline spoiler for sure.
Basically, D.L. says he was framed. He's still in love with his wife and wants his familiy back. It's only when his wife was insulted that he was able to phase for the first time.
The new comic is up. Another flashback to 6 months ago. Shows Evil Nikki pulling that job.
There are also some good theories over at the IMDB boards. One suggests that Matt Parkman's story does not take place in the same time frame the rest of the characters. This could hold some water. If you notice, every other single Hero has come into contact with another hero. Even Claire, in a way, at least her timeline. As she was talking to her fake bio parents, Mr. Bennett a.k.a. Horned Rim Glasses dude got on the phone with Eden who had said Muhinder just left.
Another good point is the fact that most of the story began six months before the first episode. Muhinder's dad finding Sylar, patient zero, and starting him on his rampage. Hiro was messing with his powers. Precog Junkie was painting the future. Petralli brothers were finding their powers. Nikkie had pulled that robbery. The only new pesron to the story is our narrator, Muhinder.
Okay... someone on the Heroes board said this, as a possible theory, and I think that it's good.
Mr Bennett is taking the heroes and teaching them how to "use" their powers/abilities, and then has mindwiper come in and make them forget about this time with him. But, they have some knowledge about their powers. They had them before... but, they didn't know how to use them.
Someone else is talking about Mohinder. How he kept seeing the young boy, who was "talking" to him in dream. Could it be that it was Mohinder, as a young boy, and he has the power to reach out, via dreams... and his young self is teaching him this?

Season 1, Episode 9: Homecoming
Original Air Date: 20 November 2006
Description #1:
As Mr. Bennet tries to protect his daughter by any means, Claire's high school homecoming turns into a frightening night. Meanwhile, Nathan and Simone work together to find Isaac's painting for Peter. But could this key to the future lead to tragedy? Elsewhere, Hiro travels back in time to right an upsetting wrong. As Niki puts a goal in sight, Micah spends time with his dad. Still experiencing strange dreams while in India, Mohinder learns of a boy that might pull him back into his father's research.
Mr. Bennet will be probably be forced to allow Isaac to use heroine in desperate need to find answers to protecting Claire. Sylar will finally appear and possibly kill Jackie at homecoming. We will probably finally see the missing painting, there is a good chance that it's a painting we've never seen. Since none of the others ones seem to hold tragedy, and it would be a good way to throw the audience off. Hiro will finally try a "do over". Niki will probably be determined to be reunited with Micah, no matter what she must do. Mohinder will probably meet a boy in India who has powers which will inspire him to continue his father's research. The boy will not be Micah at this point because Micah is on a different continent.
Description #2:
Claire's high-school homecoming turns into a frightening event; Nathan and Simone team up to locate the painting Peter needs; Hiro attempts to undo a wrong by traveling back in time; a boy draws Mohinder back to his father's research; and Micah gets to know his dad better, while Niki sets a goal for herself. Eden McCain: Nora Zehetner. Charlie: Jayma Mays.
The "do over" Hiro attempts may be related to Charlie. In the coming weeks preview we see Hiro teleport from a diner, this could be his travel back in time. Micah will most likely learn that D.L. was framed, and possibly learn his power too.
Description 3
This episode will feature a Utah Highway Patrol officer who spots a suspect of a...
Again I'm not sure if this is a legit source, and that's all they had for the description.
Only some of the heroes will come together from the events of Homecoming. Peter will of course meet Claire, and Peter will later meet Matt when he's arrested. Ando and Hiro may also show up to Homecoming only after to see the aftermath (As suggested by one of the paintings). Claire will give up cheerleading after homecoming.

Season 1, Episode 10: Six Months Ago
Original Air Date: 27 November 2006
Description #1:
As the clock turns back six months for all of the "Heroes," Mohinder's father, Chandra Suresh, arrives in New York to begin his quest to find individuals with extraordinary abilities, and meets someone all too eager to be special. Peter celebrates his graduation from nursing school and learns that Nathan plans to prosecute a case that could mean trouble for the entire Petrelli family. A surprise visit from her father brings out the worst in Niki. Hiro attempts to be a hero and change the future for someone important. Claire joins the cheer-leading squad and makes a curious discovery. Mr. Bennet and the Haitian meet someone special.
Chandra will most likely meet Sylar for the first time. Nathan prosecutes a case, (So it does appear that he was previously a lawyer) this could be a possibly reason for his wife ending up in a wheelchair. Niki is visited by her father, who she may have a dark past with. This encounter may trigger her alter-ego and be the beginning point of her powers. We haven't heard Niki mention her father, Jessica may kill him and Niki doesn't know. Claire begins cheer-leading, and probably gets an injury from a failed stunt but then learns she has an ability because of it. Mr. Bennet and MM meet someone I?d say either Sylar because Tim Kring said they are connected in some way, or he'll meet BWM and tag him. They could also encounter Eden, possibly coping with a drug problem and recruit her because of some ability she may possess.
Description #2
The past is revisited as the clock turns back six months to when Mohinder's father, Chandra Suresh (Erick Avari), arrived in New York to search for individuals with extraordinary powers. At the same time, Peter graduates from nursing school; Nathan's work affects his family; Niki's visiting father brings out the worst in her; Hiro tries to help someone important; and Claire makes a strange discovery after joining the cheer-leading squad. Heidi Petrelli: Rena Sofer. Eden: Nora Zehetner.
Hiro may get his first glimpse of his power
Other "Six Months Ago" Spoilers:
"In this episode, he's jumped six months into the past to become a busboy at a Texas diner as part of a knight's errand too spoilerish to explain in detail. Hiro's romantic MO involves three gifts ? a book, some flowers, and a gesture so elaborate that it requires him to muster his signature expression." (Entertainment Weekly)
Hiro travels back in time to get a job at a diner he goes to with Ando. Thus why we see him vanish into thin air in the preview clips. I think this deals with the "do over".

NOTE: I am not sure how legit my source is for the following 3 descriptions, the titles should be correct however. I will not be commenting on the for this reason.

A SWAT team invades the offices of a large company. A new recurring character will be introduced in episode 12. He is an intense and wise mentor with an edge named Claude. :::>^..^<::: ~*~The Journey is more important than the end or the start~*~ :::>^..^<:::
NBC released a newer version of their in coming weeks preview. They removed the older scenes and added a few new ones. One of them features Eden and Bennet, Eden says "You can't make me do that" and Bennet replies "You knew this was a possibility". They are talking about giving Isaac Heroine from the looks of things. We also see Mohinder rushing to try and aid some bald looking man getting attacked in a taxi. We also see a woman screaming and 2 police running in a diner. Then screen then flashes to an arm with a pool of blood around it (The arm moves, however), I'm thinking this deals with the "do over" Hiro will be doing. This could be Charlie lying on the floor, the bracelet on the arm closely resembles the one Charlie is wearing. (Thanks to Ratdog for pointing this out). We also see the india boy I assumed would exist revealing a key in his hand, this is the boy who will bring Mohinder back to his father's research.
Heroes: Ausiello Interviews Greg Grunberg
The video can be found on right side of the page, or by launching the "Video and Photo Player". The writers originally planned to break off the relationship between Matt and his wife, but because their relationship has gone through much Matt accepts that his wife turned to somebody else. It's going to ultimately bring them closer together. The producers are 6 episodes ahead of us and Audrey will disappear from the story for a small break. Matt will encounter H.R.G., Claire, MM, and Peter in the future (In 4 episodes or so). The convenience store scene deals with Matt learning to control his powers, and also shows that his power can cause "these migraine headaches". We'll learn why he gets these headaches in a few episodes. Peter also gets these headaches because of his ability and Matt ends up interrogating him. Both Matt and Peter freak out because they constantly start reading each other's minds back and forth. The tattoo on Matt is a tag from the OWI, its significance isn't mentioned (I personally think its tracking).
Quotes
"The pilot introduced a prophecy which will take the entire season to unravel. At the end of season one, there will be a resolution to the pilot?s prophecy. Season two will deal with an entirely new issue." (Tim Kring)
I think it's safe to assume that the explosion will be the a big part of season one and not just a symbol as others suggested.
"Are Sylar and Claire?s father connected?"
"Tim Kring: There is a connection between the two, which will become clear in later episodes." (Tim Kring)
Sylar and Claire's father are connected in some way, probably something in the past.
"Threats are everywhere ? the serial killer Sylar, the coming nuclear bomb in New York, the people who killed Mohinder's father.... Are they somehow connected?"
"Of course they are; this is the world of serial drama, where everything's a far-ranging conspiracy. "All of them will start to connect up," promises Kring. "It might take a while, but they connect." (Tim Kring)
It's safe to assume that Sylar is some how connected to the explosion.
"Yeah, [the actress] is 17, so it's never gonna happen," he joked. "But I think there is a definite connection that Claire develops with Peter. But he has a connection with all the characters he comes in contact with." (Tim Kring)
Claire won't be entering any love relations with other Heroes, cause she is 17 (Jail bait). In the past I saw some people bring up that she might, so I just wanted to point this out. She will however have a connection with Peter, after all she'll probably realise she isn't alone through Peter.
"The as-yet-unseen Sylar, a serial killer prone to freezing flesh and sawing skulls open." (Entertainment Weekly)
I think we can now assume that it's Sylar who does the freezing as well.
"On another crucial front, genetics professor Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), one of the few characters with no superpowers ? at least, not yet ? makes some surprising discoveries about his murdered father's research into the mutant world and the helix-shaped symbol that keeps popping up." (Entertainment Weekly)
We are still unsure if Mohinder has powers, but this quote gives some evidence that he could discover he does have a ability later on. It looks like he'll also find some answers dealing with the SG symbol. Another thing that I read but I forget where it was from is that the powers may not be tied directly with genetics.
"Hiro changes the future just by racing through time. But if that's the case, hasn't he already saved New York from disaster, per The Butterfly Effect?"(Entertainment Weekly)
"YES OR NO? We'll find out this month when Hiro's rules of time travel are explained. And Future Hiro's sword? ''It becomes a major part of the show,'' says Kring." (Tim Kring
This month we will finally get some answers to how Hiro's powers work. Future Hiro's sword will also show that it has some significance.
"Could Linderman be--gasp--Sylar?! Seems pretty obvious, does it not? Which is why, of course, Sylar is anyone but Linderman. (I hear he's someone you'd never expect.)
Ted wasn't kidding about that whole bomb thing. Let's just say if his power were to land in the wrong person's hands...well, that would be a very, very bad thing.
Sources tell me that Sylar will be played by an actor named Zach Quinto." (Kristin Veitch)
Here's 3 quotes from eonline, so apparently Sylar has some Identity that we'd never expect. I'm not to sure where to really go this this. Could Sylar be Peter as others suggested, but then again quite a bit of people have expected this. He's not Linderman as others suggested, maybe he's just Sylar because some people don't expect that. It also looks like Ted may hold significance to the bomb even though the writers threw the idea right in our face. Finally for those of you who still don'y know Sylar will be played by Zach Quinto.
:::>^..^<::: ~*~The Journey is more important than the end or the start~*~ :::>^..^<:::
Here are some other possible spoilers I came across, i'm not sure if the source is reliable:
-Zack will be the gay character
I think we all knew this already.
-Eden's power is suggestion, she says something and the person believes it
There is evidence out there that supports this.
-Claires dad isn't bad
I thought this was already obvious.
-Zack will not stab Claire in the back, but he ends up getting in trouble because of her
-Matt Parkman has dyslexia, which is why he failed the detective exam 3 times
I saw someone mentioned Matt having dyslexia ages ago on the NBC boards, so I'm not sure if it's a spoiler.
-Niki killed D.L.'s crew in self-defense
In the comic didn't she kill them because they didn't want to split the share with her?
-Jessica has super strength
Also very obvious
-We learn more of the Sylar and Chandra connection in episode 10
Also predictable... Are these even spoilers ? Seems like the source was just stating the obvious mostly.
-Nathan is spotted flying, which is a liability towards his campaign
-Isaac only paints the possible future
-Future Hiro will be a reccuring character

i'm starting to think maybe it's not nikki w/ the power, but it's jessica. she's a doppleganger.
quote:
The whole Niki/Jessica thing is the same as the whole Isaac and the heroin thing. They both need a conduit to tap into their powers. In time both will learn to use their powers without their crutch.
quote:
In the previews, it looks like Niki and D.L. are in front of a grave that says 'Jessica Sanders'.
quote:
did anyone else notice that jessica introduced herself to her father as jessica? is it possible they are twins?!?
quote:
Jessica is likely the "Real" Niki Sanders or twins. Niki was probably the defense mechanism to some childhood trauma or abuse. My guess is Daddy was a bad boy.
quote:
yup yup. and that would explain why micah refers to them as two different people and why niki doesn't have super strength. and why the symbol only appears on jessica.
quote:
i'm starting to think maybe it's not nikki w/ the power, but it's jessica. she's a doppleganger.

quote:
Jessica isn't the real Niki at all. Did you see the preview for next time at all? Jessica was Niki's sister or twin sister that died some how, and most likely left Niki with a split personality. (Her sister being the split personality)
