BSG: Season 3, Ep 5 - Collaborators post #1  quote:

Chief Tyrol's sense of right and wrong is put to the test when he takes part in a secret tribunal that tries and convicts in absentia humans who collaborated with the Cylons on New Caprica — and then secretly executes them for treason. Only Tyrol has the courage to ask the questions everyone fears: What if the tribunal makes a mistake? What if they put an innocent human being to death?

From the three images that are shown for next weeks episode... it looks like Laura Roslin is being sworn in. Damn... is it just assumed that she is the President again? I like her... but, shouldn't the people be voting on this? Or, are they all just wanting things back, the way that they were, before Baltar was the President, and they ending up on New Caprica, and in the hands of the cylons?

Yeah, I would assume that they want Roslin back in charge. After a year of Baltar nearly wiping out humanity I think they want to give the old girl another whirl. Wouldn't you? I think her popularity will be at an all time high.

And it looks like Gaeda is getting jacked with. Hopefully he tells Tyrol that he was helping them. Dude still should have blown Baltar's face off. You knew it wouldn't happen, but still. At least kick him in the nuts.

Yeah, I think that Gaeda is going to get pimped up, hard... but, he won't be killed. He will be the one that is saved, or that the others realize that they are going a little too much to the extreme with things.

Wasn't Gaeda the one bringing the info to Tyrol? The one turning over the bowl, and leaving the info in the drawer?

Yeah he was. He was the backbone of the insurgency. Tyrol would back him if he knew. Gaeda might just want to get smoked, he had some hard times.

Yeah, not sure how that will work out. They have a lot of sub-plots and new character to deal with. Hopefully there will be room for Gaeda on the show.

Well, that's true... I guess that we will have to see. Next week will be people getting their assignments, for work. Will be interesting to see where they place all these people. They are down a battlestar, without the Pegasas now. Will we see all our pilots going back to their original jobs? I hope so.

Tyrol did say that he wanted to kill Gaeta (because he was working with the Cylons).

Yes... but was he TRULY working WITH the cylons, or trying to get info to pass along, to help out? Someone had to do it, or they wouldn't have had information. So, Tyrol, and the others, need to think about that.

Once Gaeda lets them know he was their inside man hopefully he will be spared. He was the cornerstone of the insurgency.

Exactly... they wouldn't know crap had he not brought them info, at the risk of his own life. He did the right thing... working to try to get Baltar to see the light of day.

I agree. Gaeta was an inside man for the humans. The information he passed on to the Resistance saved human lives. What was he supposed to do? Tell the Cylon and humans that his loyalties rest with the humans? Where would they be?

The only way he could of done it is if no one knew on either side. If one of the insurgents was caught they could give him up.
