Singer, Ashanti was thrown a “surprise party” at the Tao Restaurant in Las Vegas. Ashanti, now 26 was greeted by the media before entering the party with the likes of actress Tamala Jones, comedian Mike Epps, her “momager” Tina Douglas and her boyfriend rapper Nelly among many others.
After she greeted the guests and the cut her cake Ashanti changed into her “party shoes” after she complained of foot pain; at one point yelling “I’m getting too old for this,” with a playful laugh. She then left for a private V.I.P. room where she sipped on “Mai Tai” cocktails before leaving the party early Saturday morning.
