Two White Duke rape officers are being investigated for part in racist assault of Black restaurant cook. the worker was called the "n-word" while several men attacked him in parking lot of sports bar.
Sgt. Mark Gottlieb, the ivestigative supervisor in Duke case and Det. Richard Clayton were identified by pub manager and co-workers. Manager says they drink there regularly drink there.
Legal experts say incident can have similar impact as Mark Furman did for OJ.
What's a "White Duke rape officer" ? If you don't want to come across as racist yourself, you could have started that whole thing with "two of the officers who investigated the rape of a Duke student" or something along those lines. Mentioning their white right off the bat really shows where you're coming from, Malcolm. There's a way to get your point across without pushing your viewpoint into the face of others.
With that being said, hope these guys get the book thrown at them. Preferably one of those huge rock books from the Flintstones.

Is it the truth? mentiong race doesn't make someone a racist? it helps gives someone better perspective of story.

i'n not an journalist ( are you?). I'm just posting info that can be found on computer. its sad that were in 21st century and no one wants to face reality that racism still exists and Blacks are the victims.

comparing racism with someone's choice of lifestyle is ignorant. being gay is a choice and just because someone disagrees with that lifestlye doesn't make one racists.

But you do have a point about the "racist" label. Race is more country of origin, skin color, ethnicity. I think "bigot" would be a more apt term for someone who doesn't like gays.
That being said, those affected by racism or bigotry often are often in the same boat. And if not the same boat at least the same cruiseline.

If it's a black person who is gay, I suppose you would have to ask the person who doesn't like them, if it's the sexual orientation or color of their skin. If they just hate black gay people, then that's just weird.
A mental problem? Well, I totally disagree but you're more than welcome to take that argument to our Agree To Disagree forum and debate it.
