Below is a link to a page listing the 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the past 36 years. Of those not picked yet, who do you think deserves to be selected?
Art Monk and Richard Dent are two that come to mind as deserving to be in the Hall of Fame. Both were powers of the game at their respective positions.
Art Monk for sure, it's a damn shame. I hope they're just making him wait, but he should be elected.
L.C. Greenwood is another one. Was a member of the Steel Curtain for 10 years. 6 time pro bowler with 4 Super Bowl rings. For a defensive end to last in the league that long is justification enough.
Irvin will be elected next year for sure, I think the voters just didn't want to make him a first ballot guy because of his drug abuse.
L.C. Greenwood, definitely! Those Steel Curtain years were some of the best in football.
There are a few that are due for selection this year, one being the former Oilers/Titans lineman. It'll be interesting to see if Irvin makes it this next year or if the powers that be make him suffer a bit more.
I think they should make him suffer but they probably won't. I think they just didn't want to make him a first ballot guy, Irvin gets that. He'll go in next year I bet.
And as much of a Steelers fan I am NOT, Greenwood was apart of something really special and I hope he gets in soon.
According to the site, Irvin was on his second shot this past year to enter the Hall. I didn't know that...
What about "Bullet" Bob Hayes? I know he's had problems with drugs in the past, but he brought a new era into football when he arrived with the Dallas Cowboys.
