I say total cheese. I mean, I am unsure too, but it is a total ratings stunt. Sure they are trying to keep it fresh and all that, but to that end we see a division by race? Then they have Exile Island? Separating people based on race then making them compete for food? Okay. I'm sure it won't degrade into a race war but I don't know if it's really kosher. I am a pretty open guy and I know it's TV, hopefully it won't be over the top.
I mean, we're open enough to have some fun racially based rivalry on the tube... aren't we?
I voted it is a cheese-ball rating stunt. They pick all types of oddballs for the show, so diving them up by race is just a ratings stunt. There will be strong personalities in each tribe.
You're already making them battle each other for food every other day while plotting and scheming for a million smackaroos. With that you're going to pit them against each other according to race?
I think it might be just for a very short while, like last year's age/gender separation. What, did that last a week or so?
Cheese ball stunt for ratings! I think that it's going to cause controversy, and that's exactly what these "reality" shows want. It's makes them happy to do something that get's people talking. And this will.

Like I said before, it won't last long. At least I hope it doesn't.
To be honest, I don't remember any Hispanics on the show last season. I think there was one black dude and one black chick. One Asian dude. The rest were white.

I think this could lead to some major issues. Racial divide? Im so utterly disgusted by this. What are we saying to people when we choose to make a show like this?

A good thing about it is that we know it will be racially equal. Four white people, four black people, four asian people, and four hispanic people. Not 80% white this time.
And I doubt that the four tribes will be four for more than a week or so.
