I'll probably get it too, but I always hate the flying levels on these games... all the way back to the old Super Star Wars games on the Nintendo... those levels just always bug me.
I liked Lego Star Wars though, that game rocked.

Dude, I totally here you on the flying levels. I bought SW Battlefront and the flying was limited, planet bound stuff. Didn't use them all that much. But in the second one it was full out space battles that suck wind. I'm out there for almost an hour running into stuff getting nowhere fast. It is horrible. Stopped playing the game because of it.
I only have Battlefront II... the space levels on that were fine if you just wanted to fly around... but whenever I tried shooting stuff, I just got lost very quickly. Though even the levels on the ground, if I'm not a Jedi with all these cool jedi moves, I get bored...
Whatever happened to Star Wars Galaxies? It was supposed to be some massive online role playing kind of deal... did that ever come out? It sounded pretty cool.

Battlefront I is awesome. I liked it hands down better than the second one. It's like $20 over here, if you get a chance pick it up.
I think Galaxies is out... I heard about it a while back. Yeah, I saw it at Target. It's like $50 just to buy. Found their site: starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com
It would be cool if it wasn't a monthly fee deal. That is weak. I would probably play it a few weeks then never again.
Monthly fee's better than a yearly fee, if you only play it a couple of days. I wouldn't bother though... can't be that cool. Only nerds would be playing it, and if you're a newbie you'll probably turn it on and some little dweeb who's been playing the thing non-stop for a year will come along and show you how his ten million XP will beat your three XP. I HATE YOU JEDInite312!!!
Crap, that reminds me, I have to call Microsoft to cancel my Xbox Live account.

Yeah, I'll dump a boat load of cash, set up some character and get lit up in a second by a 13-year-old in Podunk, Tennessee and I'll threaten him then go to internet jail. I can see it now.
Never got the PS2 online deal. It might be cool but I am flaky when it comes to things like that. I will play a PS2 games for weeks then drop it. Maybe not even pick it up again. It's werid.
I enjoyed battlefront greatly, but I'm currently into Empire at War. It's an RTS so you gotta be into that to like the game, but I regard is as the 2nd or 3rd best star wars game ever.
PS2 online never hit here. Sony wouldn't activate it until they sold something like 5 million units... some insane number, I don't remember. Microsoft released Live right off the bat, 'cause they knew if they built it, they would come.
brochu, Empire At War looks awesome, but I haven't played it yet. Hopefully I'll get a chance soon.

I gave my Empire at War away. I'm into RTS games, but it was based on the Age of Empires game engine, and I can't stand the game play.
I'm into RTS games like StarCraft and Command and Conquer, much faster, realistic real time strategy. The Age of Empires engine is bogged down, and tedious. (to me that is)
The first game like that I played was called "Castles" (before Dune's time even). I absolutely loved it, though it wasn't very challenging.
I played one Star Wars RTS, but I don't think it was Empire At War. Coulda been, since I can't even remember the name... but it wasn't really that enjoyable.
Command and Conquor was alright. I loved Warcraft in it's day, though. I cut down those Orcs, damn it. Army Men or... something... where you go on small campaigns and you typically have 4 guys who you use? That was awesome!
EDIT: It was called Commandos! Pretty sweet game, especially Commandos 2.
