First off, I say congrats to Josh Blue. Dude came out of nowhere and really was solid throughout. Not the best material but he had that certain something and was totally unique and fun to watch.
I would have been happy if either won, but you gotta love the underdog.
As for their sets, Ty was better again. I think Blue's got cut for time, but dude still did the weak Gabriel joke and even used old material.
I think Josh had a loyal fan base and that put him over. I think it was just the wrong time for anyone, including Ty to go up against that. If Blue wasn't there it would have been Ty all the way.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
Dat has never been funny so there is no surprise here. The first Asian person with a crappy Asian accent.
I think Blue had a real big following even though his material started to sputter in the last few weeks. From reading everyone's post we can agree that Ty was funny and could have won... Blue winning is fine by me too though.
But a buddy of mine said something that while I don't agree with it I want to throw it out there and see what you all think: Blue won because of a sympathy vote.
