Here's what I read in the Phoenix, Arizona newspaper word for word:
Now we know: Lost will premiere Oct. 4, stay on for six or seven weeks, then disappear for 13 weeks while ABC airs Day Break, a Taye Diggs drama. Then Lost returns for 16 consecutive episodes starting in February. That's a long break, but "we felt this was the best choice, to not have it off from May until January," said Steve McPherson, ABC Entertainment president. Too bad he doesn't schedule The Sopranos.
Wonder what we can do to change that schedule? 13 weeks without Lost? It's a travesty!!!!!!
Yeah, we've mentioned this in a couple other threads. It's going to suck. But, when it returns, in Feb, we will all be so happy to know that we've got 4 months, straight, of Lost. *sigh*

Well, it will be sort of like going through the summer, without a new season.
Sure, it sucks... but, there WILL be other shows on to watch.
Plus, it's during football season... the end, and then, the holidays, etc...

I agree with you, Lawless. It really sucks because it does come during football season.....oh wait, that's not what you meant!!
Just kidding, Lawless. I'm just not a football fan.
LOST has "jumped the shark", for me and my wife. She gave up on it last year because of all the breaks. I gave up on it on the first episode of this year. There is no pay-off in it for either one of us anymore. I got sick of not getting ANY answers. And the 13 week hiatus?!?!? After only six (sorry, and I'm sure, patheitic) episodes!?!?!? WHAT IS ABC Entertainment THINKING ABOUT!?!?!?!?!???? Are thes the same bunch that moved Monday Night Football to ESPN/pay tv??!?!

You might be better off dropping it, then letting the seasons run out. Then pick the whole deal up on DVD or catch it in syndication.
That way, you can watch it all the way through with no breaks, and get some resolution.
That's actually not a bad idea. I know a few people who refuse to watch '24' during the season because they can't wait a week for the next episode. They get the DVD and knock it out in a few days.
that's just too intense for me. I got the first season of 24 and watched it in a weekend and i had to take breaks. it was wayyyyyy nuts. BUT I LOVED IT! Even now, I'd rather dvr it and watch it afterwards so i can fast forward the commercials. YAY FOR DVR!!!

At this point, we're dropping the show all together. I wouldn't want to give ABC, nor their advertisers our money. I wouldn't be upset if the show were canceled (three weeks ago).
I'm with all you folks who have become disillusioned with Lost. Last week's ep was the absolute worse. One mystery after another no answers. I've had it with Lost.
OK. I gave LOST one last try last night...and I was FUMING!!!! when it was over!!!! STILL, MORE QUESTIONS!!!! NO ANSWERS!!!!! WHY GIVE Sawyer A PACEMAKER ONLY TO SHOW HIM THAT THEY'RE ON A DIFFERENT ISLAND!?!?!?! An island that no one from the plane has seen before?!?!?! I don't buy it. I am done. When my wife walked in the room and saw me looking at it, she walked back out again. When the show went off she asked me what I thought and I told her that that was their last shot for our household. We were now done watching "LOST"
P.S. What does Juliet do w/ the others"? Who there can work an X-ray machine? How old is the (what is the shelf life of) X-ray film? Pathetic set up of having Jack see Henry's neck X-rays on the light box?
