LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Calling all future Taylor Hickses, Kelly Clarksons, Fantasias, Ruben Studdards and Carrie Underwoods:
"American Idol" wants you.
Auditions for the sixth edition of the hit TV talent show begin August 8 at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
Tryouts will also be held over the following five weeks in San Antonio; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Birmingham, Alabama; Memphis, Tennessee; Minneapolis and Seattle.
Contestants must be between 16 and 28 and eligible to work in the United States.
