I read this deal online and saw a picture to confirm.
The actors that played Uncle Ben and the robber who killed him filmed a new scene, some kind of flashback I guess, but this time Sandman was there. Guess they are adding him in, pre-sand powers I imagine, to make Spidey more angry. Interesting, no?
Yeah, Sandman is cool. But if it where just him and possibly Green Goblin, even through someone like Electro or The Lizard in there, it will work. But Venom is too much of a strong character to share time with other villians. Either Venom or Sandman will suffer with screen time.
Good point, didn't think of it that way. I just don't want to see another 'Batman & Robin' debacle where they tried to include too many enemies and they were all equally suckified.
That's possible too. What we do know is Parker comes into contact with the alien costume and takes him over. Eddie Brock is there as well. Who knows, it could be a tie-in. But I don't think I've heard anything about a 4th film. I thought after the first one they locked up the actors for just two more.
If they kept going it would be amazing. Unfortunately, I remember hearing Toby McGuire saying something about being sick of being "that Spiderman guy". Bugger that, though, I'd love to be "that Spiderman guy"! Sign me up.

Okay, I read a report on AICN from dudes that were at ComicCon (which I had a free pass to but couldn't go) and there was a Spidey 3 panel with the cast and director.
I guess Venom will be strait up badass, teeth and all like in the comics. Harry Osbourne isn't Green Gob 2 or Hobgoblin, just uses his dad's gear to hunt Spidey. There was some other small stuff, don't recall.

A buddy suggested that they could just be leading up to a full blown Venom in the next movie. Doesn't look that way now. I think having three villians is just too much. Unless Harry is summarily dispatched early on. Hope Sandman and Venom don't team up, that would be lame.
Also, that article said the Venom symbiont is not alien.
Didn't have a lot of flow for gas at the time. I wanted to and kind of wish I could've. But I've been quite a few times, it's pretty fun. Last time I went, few years ago, with my press pass I was in the front row for both Angelina Jolie's panel on Tomb Raider 2 and Halle Berry's Gothika panel. Hotness personified.
