Week three on Treasure Hunters post #1  quote:

It was not the best of times for the Grad Students when Jessica learned she was facing surgery on her damaged ankle if she continued with any of the game's physical challenges. Through tears, they told the other teams they were dropping out of the competition.

The treasure hunters learned two crucial facts: The Brown Family was back in the game, and the next clue lay hidden somewhere in Boston's Old Burke School.

In a graffiti-riddled classroom, the teams found a bunch of facts scrawled on a chalkboard along with numerous math equations. Air Force left the school first, believing they needed to head out to a place where "a shot was heard around the world."

The next batch of teams arrived to the classroom with the Geniuses feeling that the words on the chalkboard were just plain "poppycock." Josh Hanlon noticed that a light switch was part of the chalkboard. When they threw the switch, two secret clues were revealed under black light. With the clues revealed, the teams were instructed to divide themselves into two larger groups: one team would go to one location, the other team to the second.

Deception was in the air when the Fogals, who were 40 miles from the school, called the Geniuses to find out what was going on. The Geniuses played dumb, telling the Fogals they were lost as well. While the Geniuses toyed with the Fogals, the teams paired up: Ex-CIA with the Wild Hanlons and the Southie Boys, and Miss USA with the Geniuses and the Brown Family.

Air Force headed back to the school to find what they had missed. When Air Force finally found the light switch and received their instructions, they contacted the Fogals - their partners by default - and sent them over to Old Newgate Prison to look for the next clue.

Inside one of America's oldest houses, a house that once served as a haven for the Minutemen, was a hollow bullet containing the next clue. Ex-CIA, the Wild Hanlons, and the Southie Boys went to work, scouring every inch of the house for the bullet. With the bullet located, they had to wait for the other teams to come up with the clue's second half. As they left, Air Force arrived and came to the realization that they were being ganged up on.

The Fogals were first to arrive at Old Newgate Prison where another hollow bullet was hidden. It didn't take them long to find it deep within an underground tunnel. With a call to Air Force, who had also found their bullet, they assembled the two clues and discovered their next location: Old North Church Cemetery.

After finding the bullet in the prison tunnels, the Browns called the Wild Hanlons, but the Texans were reluctant to share information. Pat Hanlon was still harboring a grudge against the Brown Family, feeling that it was unfair that they were back in the game because of the Grad Student's ankle mishap.

Air Force and the Southie Boys had a few choice words to say to each other among the tombstones of Old North Church Cemetery. Air Force warned the Southies that they felt betrayed by their duplicity and weren't going to take it lightly.

With all the clues assembled, the teams descended on Boston's Pemberton Pier. At the end of the dock were tickets that determined their departure order for the next day's ferry out to the Boston Light, America's first lighthouse and an important landmark of the American Revolution. Each boat could accommodate two teams; the decision to share and with whom was solely in their hands.

The Wild Hanlons had a hard time finding the ticket. Though it was right in front of them, Ben tried to grab at a water bottle floating in the harbor, thinking the tickets were inside.

Ex-CIA invited Miss USA to share their boat. Air Force invited the Fogals onto theirs, and the Southie Boys, who had the first boat, decided to invite the Geniuses along, feeling they would be a big help.

There were eight teams left but only seven artifacts on the island. Finding them would be easy, but finding the combination to the locks would be another matter. The Geniuses noticed some rocks spread out in a pattern around the artifacts. When they climbed the lighthouse, they saw that they spelled out the combination in Roman numerals.

As the next round of boats hit the island, drama unfolded back on shore when the Wild Hanlons refused to let the Brown Family ride along on their boat. Harsh words were spoken and as the Wild Hanlons sailed away, Pat dazzled everyone with his sparkling wit by shouting "So long clowns...I mean Browns."

The Geniuses were the first to find the artifact, followed by Miss USA, Ex-CIA and the Southie Boys. They re-locked all the boxes as the Fogals and the Air Force teams arrived, though they still managed to unlock their boxes before either the Wild Hanlons or the Browns hit the island.

Pat and Ben Hanlon scoured the island museum for clues while Josh climbed up the lighthouse. In no time, two of the Browns joined the Wild Hanlons in the museum to look for clues.

In the lighthouse, Josh apologized to Tonny Brown for his father's behavior back at the dock. Both teams figured out that the Roman numerals were the code to the locks, but the Browns had better luck converting them into more-familiar numeric values. While the Wild Hanlons were still deciphering the numerals, the Brown Family was opening boxes. When the Wild Hanlons saw this, Pat got down on his knees to spy on what the Browns were doing.

Pat's spying didn't pay off. The Browns beat them to the punch, marking the end of the hunt for the Wild Hanlons.

And it ends the way that it should have... with the Wild Hanlons leaving. Pat is a complete ass, and treated the Brown's horribly. They are dumb hicks, and got what they deserved. And I'm glad that the Brown team is back in action. Sad though for the Grad Students though. Hopefully the Fogels will be next, because I still don't like 'em. And, a bit worried about my favs, the Air Force team. It seems like every team has figured out that they are the team to try to beat... because they are. They work well together, they are intelligent, and fast.

I don't think the Brown's should have been allowed back, they lost, plain and simple. I get that the Hanlons were upset and I can kind of see them not letting the Brown's share boat, it's a game after all. But they were jerks about it. Not to mention they are the biggest dumb f'n hick glue sniffers I've ever seen. The kid at least has a clue and is stand up enough to apologize to the Brown's. When Mullet Hanlon was trying to crawl underneath the Brown's to see their combo I was cracking up. They did deserve to go, totally.

Felt kind of bad for the Air Force, being played against and lumped with the Fogals. I love that the Fogals got Fogaled, but teaming them up with the strongest team isn't the brightest idea. Smarties need to pull away, maybe stay close with the Southies and ride them out.

You gotta love the quote by one of the Browns: "You wouldn't let me ride on your boat, but now you want to ride on my back."

Classic!
