Sterotypes post #1  quote:

I've been noticing the background music that's being played while we watch each team.

For the Hanlons, it's country, bluegrass twangy music, for the Miss USA team, it's that bubbly, cheery muzak etc.

I can watch this show with my eyes closed and tell which team is being shown on TV.

Why don't they complete everyone with stereotypical background music?:

For the Fogals, they could do some churchly music, or have an organ playing.

For the Browns (eliminated now) they could have put on some RUN DMC or some jazzy blues.

Ex-CIA could use some Mission Impossible themes and so on.

If I were the Hanlons, I'd be watching and cringing that they portrayed them as dumb hillbillies from the South.

When will these stereotypes end in reality TV?

The music doesnt need to be played when the Hanlons are on TV.

The fact remains that these guys are just plain idiots.

The only thing that might offend them is being portrayed as hillbillies instead of Texans...and even then, Im sure they wouldnt understand.

They can't get mad for how they are being "portrayed" because THEY are the only people who make themselves look like they do! STUPID!!!!

And I don't care what education they've got.... they are still plain dumb-ass country boy's who don't realize, for hours, that a square peg doesn't fit inside the circle.
