i agree that England haven't been playing there best ... i dont think it helps that 2 players have come out injured in there last game - owen having to leave the comp because of his knee ... other teams that were topped for good playing didnt play very well in their first few games
One word sums up the best and worst of the first round and that is Brazil.
When they score they are brilliant but as a team they are useless. The only reason they do so well is because they attack and score more than their opponants. They are a useless defensive unit and usually have terrible goalkeepers.
The guiding light of Brazil is the fact that they can bring stars and great players from no where.
"there's only one way to win a war: shout, shout, and shout again!" - The Duke of Wellington ((Blackadder - Stephen Fry))
Biggest surprise - Ghana, 2n6w that we should not be surprised by African teams but I had never thought of Ghana as one of the better African teams.
Biggest dissapointment - Ronaldo, yes he came alive in the last game but that does not make up for how poor he has been in the opening two games and something tells me his mind is still not in the right place.
Worst offciating - Grahm Poll was diabolical although no referee
has come out smelling of roses yet.
Best team - Argentina they are attacking well defending farily well and any team that has Riqueleme on the field and Leo Messi as a sub will play good football.
