A gifted stand-up comedian and talented U.S. Paralympic soccer player, Josh Blue refuses to bow to any of the challenges that come from living with cerebral palsy. He jokes, "I realize that people are going to stare so I want to give them something to stare at." He uses his self-deprecating sense of humor to defy stereotypes and encourage others to overcome their pre-conceived notions about disabled people.
Blue - who was born in Cameroon, West Africa, and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota - got his start in comedy while pursuing a B.A. degree in creative writing from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.
In addition to guest-starring on Comedy Central's "Mind of Mencia," Blue has been making audiences laugh in top comedy clubs, theaters, colleges campuses and corporate events all over the country. At the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival, he won the $10,000 Grand Prize at the Royal Flush Comedy Competition. In 2005, he earned rave reviews on the college circuit and a nomination for "Best Diversity Event of 2006."
Describing his comedy as "spastic and engaging," Blue wanted to be on "Last Comic Standing" to "make people aware of the fact that people with disabilities can make an impact."
In addition to being a stand-up comic, Blue is also a U.S. Paralympic soccer player, and he participated in the 2004 Paralympic Games that took place in Athens, Greece. The Paralympics, held two weeks after the Olympics, are the world's second largest sporting event.

I thought Chris Porter's jokes about doing Josh's mom and sister were OOOLD and lame, and love how Josh turned it around on him with "my mom's dead dude...... inappropriate" I cracked up.

So I went to see Josh Blue at the comedy store last night. I almost died. Cause of near death experience? Explosion from laughter. He was hilarious. He only did a couple of jokes I'd already heard. And even those had a bit of a new spin. Then I came home to watch LCS and heard 2 jokes he did at the show. I love this guy. I hope he makes it far. Chris porter sorta blew last night so maybe Josh has a chance.
I hope he uses some of the jokes he used last night on LCS. He has to clean them up for tv but MAN WERE THEY HILARIOUS! He was onstage for about 45 minutes.... 45 minutes of SHEER HILARITY!
and he was selling a comedy cd that he named "Good Josh, Bad Arm..." i mean come on, you can't just make this stuff up

Physically he was good on stage. People LOVED him! He was hilarious as hell!!!
My favorite part of his act...he says he is sorry to the audience and he is standing to the side doing something to his pants..and Im like OMG something is happening to him..and ALL OF A SUDDEN...he pulls out a cell phone and puts it to his ear and said "Gabriel STOP calling me!" Then he turns to the audience and says he is now trying to get ME kicked off.
People were rollin!

At the show, he was good physically - just like on LCS. Anytime he would have trouble with his arm he'd make a joke about it sorta. ha, like he went to take a drink of water from the cup he had brought up and put on the chair behind him. OBVIOUSLY he can't grab the drink with his bad arm so he sips it from the straw, and it's all quiet. he gets up, laughs and goes... i know all of you are thinking HOW FUNNY WOULD IT BE IF HE GRABBED THE CUP WITH HIS ARM and he pretended to grab it and started shaking it everywhere saying water would be going everywhere and he'd get electrocuted. it was a funny bit b/c you know EVERYONE was thinking that SAME thing.

HECK! said this in post #8 : Wait, was Josh as funny as that one comic we saw at the H.I. that time?
-HECK!
Forgive me.....Im gonna be stupid on this forum too.
H.I. ?
My brain is gone....I have a BAD feeling that once you tell me what that means, Im gonna beat my head against a wall and wonder why I was too stupid to know this.

you're the only one who calls it the "h.i." everyone else knows it as "the Ho Inn"
and that guy was beyond hilarious. the after school special behind the alley? the slow-mo recap at the end when he included the part when he whacked his hand on the beam above him?
that recap was the definition of comedy.

Well....I dont feel too stupid. I dont remember the guy at the Holiday Inn.
Wow....I completely went back and read and realized that Illimunate saw him at the CS. Awesome!
I thought when you asked how he was physically on stage, that you were talking about Last Comic Standing. I just realized that you were talking about him at the CS.
Man, I am so dense lately.

Haha, yeah I should have specified. I thought you knew
Illuminate and I saw this comedy show at a Holiday Inn a few years back, this one dude was hilarious. Next to Norm McDonald, funniest comedian I have seen in person. There was this heckler and the comedian rolled him up, smoked him and ashed. It was excellent.

I have to remember that you and Illuminate know one another and that I wont understand all your conversations.
