2 months = 2 years? post #1  quote:

So they've been on the island for roughly two months, right? And it's taken 2 full seasons to get this far into the story.

What are they going to do with Walt and Aaron? By the time we're in the 6th or 7th season Walt will be in high school in real life, and the actor who plays Aaron will be in Kindergarten. And that would look funny after 6 months of being stranded on an island.

This last episode, Walt looked like he had shot up like a weed. He looked way way taller to me than he was, and his face was all different.

Plus, when he spoke, his voice didn't match his lips 100%.

I wondered if he had his voice dubbed in, cause now it's deeper. He was gonna be on Jimmy Kimmel Live later, but I didn't watch it. I would like to see him on a talk show and see if his voice has changed or not.

They've been there longer than 2 months... but, not much! I wish that they would put something on the screen, "Day 67" etc... just to give you a little more of a clue. It's bothersome wondering what day they are on.

Maybe Walt will die off, or, like on soaps, they will just replace the actor, or something.

if walt dies off, i think that i might cry, i love that kid. it's always a nagging thing for me, like, how long HAVE they been on that island? cuz if they didnt tell us, i'd guess at least like 6 months.

Honestly, honesty's a fable in love.
isnt this exactly where you'd like me?.

Not that I watch the show, but I have to imagine with shooting on location like this they knock out 22 episodes or whatever their run is in a few months. The most drastic difference will be the long hiatus in production. The aging won't be gradual, more than likely a jump from one episode to the next. Camera angles and plot lines can only get them so far. If the shows does stay on for 5+ seasons I'd think they would write out the kids completely or re-cast.

the kid was 12 when the show started, and small for his age. He is now 14, and is growing taller and his face is changing.

I noticed again, his voice don't match up with his mouth. I think they are dubbing his voice in, as his has changed.

But still just a theory. I guess it's possible his voice hasn't changed yet at 14.

He could just play a "big for his age 13". Some freaks of nature kids out there look like adults by the time they're 15... so it's not impossible. Walt is a "special" boy, after all.

Perhaps part of the story line will become time. Like, 2 years have past in the rest of the world where they feel like its only been 3 months.

Otherwise I can see the show not making sense soon enough....

....Oh wait.

Or maybe it's the opposite. Maybe time is really slow in reality... but, a lot of time has passed on the island? I don't know. The is just a lot to explain.

Remember the movie... Truman, with Jim Carey? And how there was a comment about them, on Lost, being in a giant snow globe? Maybe that's why Desmond couldn't get away from the island. Maybe they are in a place like that, and there isn't a way out, because they are contained within something.

I came up with that theory a awhile ago... but the difficult part to explain is how they got in there.

Well, when the plan was torn apart by the electromagnetic thing, I think that is how it happened. It just free fell into that place. Like the machine opened up a gap or something.
