fuscia's review of the top 3 post #1  quote:

Well we are down to three. I almost did not write a review. Bitter Chris fans are sucking the joy out of Idol. He was voted off because his fans did not vote enough to keep him in. It is a simple thing. No conspiracy. The same rumors fly each year that people heard another contestants voice on their guys number. Nope. Not buying it. If it had been Taylor that was voted off, I would be extremely sad, but I would be looking at the fact that he was not locked into that death contract.

Elliott -OPEN ARMS- well Clive threw him a bone, and he blew it. He started off key on the first two notes, and he did the worst cover of the song I have ever heard.

Kat I BELIEVE I CAN FLY- interesting choice for her. She did better than Elliott, but oversang it at the end. At least her cheesy smiling fit this better than the other songs she has sang. I can not believe that she had the nerve to whine to the judges. Grow up already!

Taylor DANCING IN THE DARK- now this is huge that Clive made a personal call to get this song cleared for Taylor. He did a good job, but it was not my favorite performance of his.

NOTE- Taylor's shout outs to the Soul Patrol are his way of thanking them for making his dream come true. He is extremely grateful that he has so many fans, so for those that think he is pimping, oh well.

Elliott -WHAT YOU WON'T DO FOR LOVE- Paula made a great pick for him. The song is great and it fits his voice, but he kept going sharp during the performance. Still, it was a good performance overall.

KAT SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW- great choice for her broadway style voice. I think they should have changed the key of the song. She had difficulty with the lowest notes on the song, and you could hear her reaching for them. When someone reaches for them, it has a "belchy" type sound. It ain't pretty when they reach for the low notes. Aside from the low notes, it was a beautiful performance. She was amazing, and it was by far her best song, and her shining moment on AI.

TAYLOR Randy chose YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL- I wonder who or what he was thinking of when he sang it because he was struggling not to cry during the whole song. It was heartfelt, emotional, and WOW he hit the falsetto with perfection. Taylor has the best diction when he sings, and he was so lost in the performance. It was amazing to see someone sing this with feeling, true feeling behind it. It made me cry. This was magic. It was the song of the night. He is a star.

Elliott I BELIEVE TO MY SOUL I'm just not feeling this song. It is unfamiliar, he does it well, but he needed a song people could wrap themselves around.

Simon was kind with his words to Elliott. He said he would not make it to the finals, but he did a great job and made his mom proud. For Simon, that is gushing.

Kat AIN'T GOT NOTHING BUT THE BLUES- oh dear Lord, she is smiling like she is on a missionary recruitment trip. The smile just drives me insane. She obviously does not listen to what the words of the song are. Vocally it was a great job, but the performance part sucked big time.

Taylor TRY A LITTLE TENDERNESS. Ah yes, he chose the song that AI yanked away from him on Love song week. He dedicated it to the Soul Patrol. How sweet is that! Taylor drew 32,000 people in his hometown last week. Fans flew or drove from all over the country to see him. He performed all day long with his band at various fan stops. Say what you want, but this man LOVES his fans and is so grateful to be where he is. Now this is the way to end the show. Taylor did a great job on it. He was 100% dedicated to the song, the performance, and he throws himself into the music so much that he is completely uninhibited. I think our next IDOL won the competition tonight.

It doesn't matter how people see it. It's over the top, to continuously call out "Soul Patrol." When he does it one time, it's nice. But, it was every single time... and within that, multiple times, over and over.

I didn't think that he was struggling to not cry. I thought that he was struggling with his vocals... meaning, that his throat was killing him, and he was trying to not screw up. He looked like he was almost in pain, at the beginning of "You Are So Beautiful" and shook his head, as if saying, "No, I can keep this going." I really felt for him. It was a great performance.

Guess you can count me in as a bitter Chris fan. Esp when I saw posts, online, on Wednesday MORNING... HOURS before the elimination results... of people stating that they got Kat's line, over and over, when they know that they were dialing Chris.

No Kris, I would not count you or Mystic as bitter fans. There are some ones on the AI board who are blaming Taylor for him being gone.

I know that you and Mystic are sad, and I totally get that, but you both know and see that he will most likely get a much better deal now that he is off the show. Chris will make a mark.

You're right about that, sis. I've been over there, on the AI board, checking out comments, and I can not believe the HATRED that people have in them. Sure, I'm upset, and I feel that Chris was wrongfully eliminated... but, he WILL get a great deal.

It's NOT Taylor's fault, anymore than it's Elliott, or Kat's fault. They don't control the show, or anything involved with it. They are the contestants.

Yeah, THEY are the ones who make Chris fans look bad. I saw Chris and Regis and Kelly, and he looked so happy. I wish him nothing but the very best.

I missed him on R&K... but, if you read the thread I started, in the main AI5 forum, "Chris Daughtry on Ellen Degeneres" you will see my comments, and mystic's too. It was great to see him on there, and how happy he is.

The AI pressure is off. Now he will be able to make the record he always dreamed of making.

I really hope that Clive sees the talent there with Taylor and how marketable he is. Taylor can write, and if Clive let's Taylor stay true to his musical style, then he will get a great record from him.
