This is soooooo cute. I'm watching it right now. Ellen starts this off saying that no one was more shocked than her, last week... and then she shows the elimination clip. Then, Ellen says, "Please welcome, MY American Idol... Chris Daughtry." The AI music starts up, and Chris walks onto the stage, sorta dancing, and they hug. And then, the two start dancing, Ellen style. It was adorable.
Ellen is telling him that she will purchase his cd, and see him in concert. They started talking about Chris going far... and she joked with him and said... "Dont make any decisions without contacting me first!"
He's going to sing, "Wanted Dead Or Alive." It's the song that will be released on the AI cd, and it's the ONLY song that he can sing, at all, unless on the show, AI, or on the tour. Damn, what a strick contract. I can't wait until he gets away from it all.
Anyone else catch this show today?

Sorry hun.. I didn't think to post this last night, right after I found out. I set my dvr to record it.... but, I walked in, from work, about 10 min before he came on the stage. It was so sweet, seeing him with Ellen. She's really a huge Chris fan. See, she's great.... a dyke, and a Chris fan. Woman after my own heart.

Yes, he did. But mystic... don't give up hope, hun... he will get a sweet deal. Whether it's to go into an established band, or something on his own, that is what we're waiting to hear. But, he WILL have something. It's just a shame that he can't put anything out until after the 'winner' this season puts their album out.

I know...it sucks.
But, IMO, as with what Clay did to Ruben (which proved he was the real winner), Chris will do the same.
