I HATE it when they do that... It was moving along so nicely in its original timeslot, paired up pretty well with Desperate Housewives as the shows would attract similar crowds, and now they're putting it out to die on another night... Not very sensible imo, but I'm not the network exec, so we'll see if this move does the show any good.
The last few shows I've seen that had their night changed, didn't seem to do well. I'm skeptical to say the least...
It's ABC's best chance to try and win the coveted Thursday timeslot. NBC owned it and reaped enormous profits from Seinfeld to Friends for something like 15 years. Now CBS is owning it with CSI. NBC came back with Earl and The Office, but ABC isn't going to lay down. I think it's good for them, but ABC also wants to move a new show to the post-Housewives slot to try and get that off the ground.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
