If spinning in a circle is the only thing Berry will do , I won't be seeing movie until it comes on television. Berry as won an Oscar an the only thing her character ( Storm) has done is create tornados and lighting from the sky. Storm has ability of flight and creating lighting from eyes and hands. Berry should sue for exploitating if she is not major part of movie. She is the most famous of most of them.
She isn't the main focus of the X-men team, and that's why you haven't seen a huge story on her.
Why should she sue them, malcolm? Because she's a huge star, who should have top billing? Because she doesn't get more screen time than others? She TOOK the job, and knows what her part is. If SHE doesn't have a problem with her role, why do you? Is it because she is a black woman, and didn't get the spotlight in the Xmen movies, and therefore, it's a racial thing? Help me understand where you're coming from!

I think that Halle shouldn't have been cast as Storm, and from what I remember, Malcolm, you feel the same way, correct? So, why should Storm, who was obviously poorly cast, now have centre stage, or even a larger supporting role? Just because Halle is the actress? Not how I see it. The only way I'd want Storm's role to be increased, is if they get an actress who is more suited to the part.
I admit that I would've liked for them to have said more about Storm than just her claustrophobia. Also, I agree that compared to her abilities that were displayed in the comic book (leadership, fighting, warfare, other elemental powers, etc...), her storyline really is wasted, and it does bother me. But I considered how they should improve her role, and I couldn't think of anyway. The story just isn't about her, and in the comics, she always seemed to me to be a supporting character, even when she was leader of the X-Men for a time.
Well said, SD!!! I grew up reading the Xmen comics, and she wasn't ever a main character. But, she was a part of them, and still important. I don't think that the casting was bad, at all. Halle is a beautiful woman, and I've always thought Storm was a pretty woman. Just because it isn't a huge part, I don't see a problem with a well know person in Hollywood taking a smaller part. They can't always have the spotlight on them. Maybe she enjoys the work, and not having to bust her butt to be the main focus.

Why did she accept the part? She doesn't need the money or fame and she just won an Oscar. Its an insult. Winning an Oscar gives actor influence over their characters they accept. Why doesn't Haanks have supporing roe in Da Vinci Code?
I read X-Men comics and Storm did more than spin in the air. I remember lightning from eyes and hands, she was able to fly and wasn't she captain?
Storm did have light coming out of her eyes, in the train station... rewatch the movie.
Oh, why don't you contact Halle yourself, and make sure that she knows that her role was a waste... oh, and I'm sure that it was a racial thing too. Yeah... make sure that she knows that, malcolm... because we want her to open her eyes and see the truth!
Maybe you should knock her over the head, and drag her away from her WHITE boyfriend... because, after all, she shouldn't be with him, right? I mean, that's bringing her down too, isn't it?
Why didn't Hanks get a supporting role in Da Vinci? Because he was cast as the MAIN character. Who gives a flying ****???? They aren't forced to TAKE parts. But, if you want to keep believing that... well, go right on ahead.

She said a corny line and lightning came from sky. In comic book her powers usually come from her hands eyes.
Your right, she shouldn't be with WHITE boyfriend and wish I had her #.
Malcolm, it's not like she's had much luck having relationships with black men. David Justice beat her up, and Eric Benet cheated on her many, MANY times. She should be with WHOEVER will treat her RIGHT. Black men sure had their chance to be that for her...
Storm has elemental powers. She can causes thunderstorms, causes drastic changes in temperature, make rain, sleet, snow, hail, hurricanes, etc. A derogatory name she gets a lot is "Weather Witch". And for a time, she was not only leader of the X-Men, but also she was leader of the Morlocks at the same time. However, that was during the time when Cyclops left the team, and Wolverine was too unreliable to lead. Eventually, Wolverine was leader too, if I recall. In anycase, none of Storm's storylines ever really gripped me. She was never the focal character for me at anytime. She was only a supporting character. When she lost her powers was the only time that I thought she REALLY had something to offer, because she was forced to rely on her mind and body, moreso than on her powers. She should lose her powers in the next one. Then they can focus on her a bit more.
In the movie, Storm is second in command, just as in the comic books. Halle Berry herself said after X2 that the only way she would do another X-Men movie is if her character got more to do. I was in her presence when she said it, at the San Diego Comic Con. So by virtue of the fact that she is in this movie they must have given her character enough to do, at least to Berry's liking. Either that or she got another zero at the end of her check. Regardless, she signed up for these movies, no one made her do it. She has made and will make a lot of money from them. She also recently stated that she will not appear in another X-Men movie, nor any other superhero oriented movie.
By the way, this Oscar Winning actress also had plenty to do in Catwoman and that didn't stop the movie from sucking the doors off the movie theater.
In my opinion, this is a poor argument. Halle will decide what she wants to do. We will watch her because she's HOT, not because she's a great actor. She isn't. She DID NOT DESERVE the oscar for Monster's Ball, imo. She didn't do anything special in that movie except for possibly have sex with Billy Bob on camera. To pick up an Oscar for that is high blasphemy, so I SINCERELY hope that isn't the case and the Academy just saw something that I and so many others didn't.
Now, to say that she needs a bigger role because she won an Oscar, is foolish. It opens doors, but her follow-up was Gothika, which wasn't that great, and then Catwoman, and I haven't even bothered to DOWNLOAD Catwoman because that would be a total waste of time.
