President Fox Bans Use Of U.s. National Guard post #1  quote:

Well I guess the Bush proposal to use the National Guard for border enforcement is dead already. Mexican President Fox called Bush and told him that it was not acceptable to Mexico. I guess Fox didn’t get the message that the National Guard proposal was just a ploy to BS the American people into accepting easy, mass immigration.

Oh I suppose the National Guard will still end up down there. They could help carry the Mexicans across the river so they don’t get hurt coming in here on their own.

the Mexican President does NOT dictate what goes on on THIS side of the border.

for some odd reason, while the word "Ganya" was still just a thought-dropping in my head, I thought it'd only be four letters. But apparently it's five. yep.

Well, if it's US troops IN Mexico, then Presidente Fox would have a say in that.

If it's that we boost up the guards at the border, on the side of the US, then I think that Fox can kiss MY ass.

He does is Bush lets him. If those two had their way, there wouldn't be any border.

Fox is a worthless leader.
I think I have a little insight into whats up with Bush. Now please don't think I agree with his assesment
of the border, I think its out of control. However with his dealings with Fox I think He does have a plan. Mexico elections are coming up soon and in Mexico the outgoing leader puts up the candidate for his party and the opposition party puts up theirs. Here is the problem, the opposition candidate is a dyed in the wool communist and right now he is way ahead in the polls. Bush does not want, nor do we, a communist leader in a country bordering ours. So I think Bush is trying to help Fox and his party. Maybe I'm wrong about Bushs motive but not about the political picture of Mexico.
If you think the poverty is bad now just imagine how it would be with a communist leadership.

The troops will not be used for Law Enforcement. They are going to be used to create roads, fences, barriers set up cameras and fly the drones and get the border patrol up to speed so they can fly the drones.

What information are you referring to?

This whole thing with the National Guard is nothing but a phony display of border crack down, so the American people will back off on their objection to the coming flood of immigration.

Basically Bush said that we have to solve the problem by these two methods:

1) Step up border enforcement.

2) Loosen immigration requirements, so the border will not be so hard to enforce.

If you do enough of number 2, you don't even need number 1.

If the American people buy this BS about the National Guard, we are going to get a bill in the next couple months that will open the door to Mexico. Right now, illegal entry is way up just because the U.S. is sending a signal of relaxing enforcement. I have heard that as many as 10,000 per day are coming across the border. Right now we have 11 million. Soon we will have 50 million.

Bush keeps talking about virtual fences. Illegal aliens cut real holes in real fences. Think how much easier it will be to cut virtual holes in virtual fences.

This whole deal is getting rather creepy.

Bush is full of crap, and just allowing illegals to weed their way in here. He wants to make 'em citizens, so that they will vote for the Republicians, because he knows that they are losing a foothold on everything. The public is sick of this crap, and isn't going to just stand by and watch this happen.

The Hagel-Martinez immigration compromise bill will dramatically change America. It has been calculated that the bill will result in around 190-220 million new Mexican legal immigrants over the next twenty years. At 200 million over twenty years, that is 10 million per year, which amounts to 27,397 per day.

It's a good thing that we will have the National Guard down there to make sure nobody sneaks in.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I won't be standing by, either. I live on the border of Mexico, and I'm sick and tired of illegal immigrants. Come here, legally, or don't come at all. I'm going to be using my voice to help make a difference.

I was being a little sarcastic because of course Fox cannot order our government to do anything. But the way Bush is acting, he seems to be taking orders from Fox. Actually, what happened was that Bush announced that he was going to use the National Guard to help with border enforcement. Then it was announced that Bush telephoned Fox and told him about it, whereupon Fox told Bush that he did not approve of the plan. Then Bush told Fox that Mexico is a dear friend, and the National Guard would not be used to militarize the border, but only used in a supporting role. That was the news about last Friday or so.

I don’t get it. So Mexico has a lot of people who only want to work to feed their families. Why is it our problem?

I say, why not militarize the border? That would seem to be the obvious purpose of sending the National Guard to handle the emergency of an out of control border. I seems to me that Bush is trying to have it both ways. He wants to convince his critics on the pro-border enforcement side that he is going to get tough with border enforcement, so he calls in the National Guard. Then he wants to convince the pro-amnesty faction that he is not against them, so he has the National Guard hand out cookies on the border.

Ohhhhh so Bushie doesn't want to offend his "dear" friend Fox.

It seems to me that Fox is eager to get rid of these people, which is why he seems to be all for an open border.
