Hi, i was given this piece by my friend who was a NASA employee on 7/5/79...I have pictures, part numbers, everything u need to know... I believe he said that its was used to cover the fuel cells, right under the tiles, incase the tile falls off during re-entry it wont make it explode. its in the sterile, Integrity Band bag, Rockwell International Rocketdyne Division, although its open, the bag says To______________ and on that line it says "RA0110-018".
then below its says, Level_______________ on that line it says "AD-0003".
Then Part No______________ on the line "R0011396-003".
then it says DSGN ACT CODE IDENT 02602.. then there is a stamp in permanent ink, i'll describe it. its a small circle with ANR with the N being slightly higher than the A and R...then below that still in the circle are the numbers 932..i was told that the metal used in 1979 was worth $6,000...today probably $8,000...and considering that now the shuttle is no longer here and this is one of the few, or only part out there..im asking $10,000....serious people only email me for pics...and dont email me just cuz u wanna see if i have it....if u want it but are unsure of what i say...email me at Paintballpugsley@aol.com for pics....all the numbers match bag to part of the shuttle
