Fuscia's review of love songs week post #1  quote:

Andrea was wonderful with the group. He gave some very good advice, and I loved that David Foster told them that they had better be ready when they came to sing for him. He was tough, but at this stage he was right to be that way.

Katharine- -She sang "I have nothing" and I can not believe she picked this song. Everyone sings it, and there is no way to do it without being compared to Whitney. Her runs seemed forced, and I hated what she did with the song. She over sang parts, and for once Paula was right. Her soft vocals are what she does best.

Elliott -Tonight was his night. All I can say is WOW!

Kellie Well she has completely ruined "Unchained Melody" for me. It was a stupid song choice because everyone knows that it is Simon's favorite song. NO contestant will ever do as well as Clay did on it either. She made it boring, and she proved herself incapable of the limited licks in the song.
Damon said "She looked pretty, but she blew her song". Well said son, well said.

Paris- "the way we were". I loved that David Foster told her to start off soft. She is one of two singers in the show that tends to yell instead of sing. Man, they made me do this as a flute solo in 6th grade. I'm liking it about as much as I did back then. It was just o.k. She over sang it as usual.

Taylor Andrea said "Good singer, has a very beautiful instrument." Andrea is just a sweet man. He was so great with all of them. DF even liked Taylor. Now I noticed something, Taylor's rehearsal was so much better with DF than when he sang on TV. His voice was noticeably strained. I have listened to hour upon hour of Taylor's CD's and performances, and I have NEVER heard his voice sound like this. The vibrato was different, the whole tone was. I think the rigors of AI are getting to him. That being said, Just Once is my all time favorite love song. Hell, I actually wore out the LP when I was a teen. Taylor's approach to the song was the right one. He started soft and showed vulnerability. The vocals were not 100% for him, but I really loved it. I felt the song, and he actually made me cry.

Chris- Gee what a shock that once again Chris got the pimp spot. If you look at the stats, you will see that he has the last spot more than anyone else.
You have to love David Foster for calling Chris on his poor vocal technique. I do not like Chris' voice, and I have always known that he was not using his diaphragm. It's a wind instrument thing. He listened, and he sounded sooooo much better. Just when I was into the song and he was doing sooo very well, he reverted to belting it out at the end. Well, he came a long way. It was one of my favorite songs for him. Good way to end the show.

Paris will go home, but it should be Pickler.
