Little tid-bit, Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier produced Good Will Hunting. Rob Reiner's Castle Rock passed on Damon & Affleck's script, so Kevin Smith took it to Miramax. Made them a ton of money.
The guy who plays Dante Hicks has appeared, in one way or another, in almost every Kevin Smith film.
He was on that dating show at the end of Malrats, a corporate guy wanting to make Bluntman & Chronic cartoon in Chasing Amy, TV reporter in Dogma, Dante again in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Not sure if he was in Jersey Girl, but I'm pretty sure that flick takes place outside the normal View Askew universe.
In Clerks, I don't get it, Dante thinks it's blasphemy for Randal to like The Empire Strikes Back more than Return of the Jedi. But it's clearly the better of the 2 movies.
Mr. Smith, why would Dante think Jedi is better?

Randal might have dissed Empire to further his lame Jedi praise, don't recall exactly. Don't think Randal hit home the point too much after Dante said he liked Empire or Hope better.
I liked the general contractor dicussion with that guy in the store, it was cool
Coulda been... but I thought he LIKED it because of the downer ending
Hmmmm...
I didn't like Jay and Silent Bob much in Clerks, you know. I didn't think they were all-that until Dogma came around. Silent Bob kicked ass in Chasing Amy though
