Buffy: Favorite Character? post #1  quote:

Who are your favorite characters from the entire run of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series?

Buffy, with her quips that no one really remembers, since the people she usually tells them to are staked seconds later.

Xander, with his insecure sarcasm but good heartedness and willingness to die for his friends.

Willow, with her nervous stuttering and cute dorkiness, eventually evolving into cool witchiness.

Giles, with his library and books and Englishness.

Cordelia, who is completely stuck up but gets sucked into Buffy's creepy world, nevertheless.

Angel, with his brooding frowny-ness.

Spike, with his brooding blonde-iness.

Dawn, with her mysterious key-ness.

Andrew, with his complete and utter dorkiness.

Oz, with his warewolveness and being totally and utterly cool all the time.

Tara, with her heavenly singing, shyness and lesbianism.

That'll do

I really love all the characters in the show. Joss did such a fantastic job on creating this clever and witty world with equally clever and witty characters.

But, since I had to chose and it would be tacky to chose all of them, I picked

Willow
Xander
Andrew
Oz

I also LOVED Anya. She filled the much-need sarcastic scooby spot left by Cordelia and improved it.

I had to sell out and go with Spike. He ruled.

Xander was cool, but it's like they tried to hard to find him things to do in the post high school years. It's like he's in the army for five minutes, then he's a construction grunt, then he's the construction guru.

The nerd crew was cool until they started getting killed. Bad writing.

They kept Andrew on at least, which was all the geek I really needed, personally. The trio bickering like girls was funny for only a season, I reckon.

Killing Jonathan wasn't cool... not cool at all.

Xander was only like that in season 4, man, after that he settled into construction. Which helped out when it came to rebuilding Buffy's house

Yeah, Xander's story line in season four was lame with all the dead-end jobs he was going for and his living in his parents' basement, but in season five he got his act together and was successful and rebuilt everything in Buffy's house a few times.

But I've got to wonder: if the windows broke as often as they did, why didn't they just cover them up with boards until they thought there was a chance they'd last more than a week?

Or he could've contructed something out of super-tough plastic, right? He did mention at one point that he was getting sick of installing windows. You'd think it would've clicked.

Anya is really awesome. It speaks a lot for Joss that he managed to realize that the chick who plays Anya had good comedic timing. Speaking of which, did anyone happen to catch her on the Howard Stern show a few years back? Sheesh, she's one dirty *****.

I liked Cordelia back in the day, mostly because of looks. Was never a Sarah Michelle Gellar fan to be honest.

Oz and Spike ruled, but they kind of made Spike into a wussed out version of himself and kind of an Angel rip-off.

Gunn was cool until they made him a super smart lawyer, how lame.
