The Plot: To avoid a jail sentence, a young street racer (Black) heads to Japan to live with his uncle. Getting involved in the world of drift racing, he finds himself quickly in debt, and the only way to repay is to enter the Tokyo underworld.
THE BUZZ: First Vin Diesel abandoned this franchise, and now Paul Walker? What does it say when you can't even get Paul Walker to sign to your movie? (And that boy works non-stop!) If they're lucky, the addition of director Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow) and the underground appeal of drift racing (relatively speaking, it's as big as NASCAR, except illegal) will inject some new kind of adrenaline into the mix.
