Go Sweden. The clobbered Switzerland 6-2!!!

Finland trumped USA 4-3!!

The Nordic states will rule, perhaps?

Russia clobbered Canada 2-0.

Czechoslovakia beat Slovakia 3-1.

So, the semifinals on Feb 24th will be:

Sweden vs Czechoslovakia
Finland vs Russia

Go Nordic States!!!!

Why aren't many people posting about the Olympics? Isn't anyone watching??? Or maybe Bubbas in Colorado dig ice hockey more than the average bear.

I am happy with this outcome.
For one reason, Russia has produced some really good music and literature, however at the expense of the happiness of its people.
After all, Dr. Zhivago was set in this land.
And Czechoslovakia was at the bidding and behest of the Soviets for decades...so this beating was enjoyable. And if the Soviets had not invaded Aghanistan nearly 25 years ago, perhaps this Usama character wouldn't have had the power he has today.

Besides....Sweden will kick Czechoslovakia's arse tomorrow. Watch.
