Bring Back Good TV! post #1  quote:

80's sitcoms rule! Everything that comes on Nick at Night and I love The Golden Girls Anyone heard about the latest drama Lifetime is having with Dish Network? Basically Dish Network gave Lifetime the boot without any warning. What's worst is that Dish is trying to blame Lifetime for charging too much but Dish is still RAISING their rates! I don't know but I think we should be allowed to have more than two channels dedicated to women...Especially when there is already like 50 sports channels and 10 adult ones. Has anyone heard the real story behind the dispute?

Welcome to INReview. I have not heard of the dispute, but I do love 80's sitcoms. My favorites were Family Ties and The Golden Girls.

C'mon!!!

er, Mason jar, whatever. I never liked her anyway. Always messing with Laura Ingals and causing trouble. Her mom was a braying cow.

Hey Everyone! This thread is bringing back soo many memories. I love Amen, 227, Silver Spoons, and Small Wonder! We need a network with all 80's sitcoms all the time! How about the rerun network

Anyway since alot of us are Golden Girl groupies I want to let yall know what is going on with DisH Network and Lifetime. I work with Lifetime so I know the real scoop. It is a really shady what Dish has done to Lifetime viewers. If you guys want to know what is really going on or even want to sign a really cool e-card to the CEO of Dish check it out k! http://www.lifetimetv.com/about/dish_ecard.php

The only good show in the 80's was Cheers and that's still on Nick at Nite. The rest can kick rocks.

Yes!!!

How do I put this very delicately...Oh forget it I'll just make a fool of myself here.

I had scholarships to several top universities and private colleges in the US. But why in the world did I choose my college in LA? Two words: Kris McNichol. I was absolutely obsessed with her.

I got to college in early september her birthday was about a week later....I was so resourceful, I got an invitation to her birthday party through someone in my dorm. Absolutely insane...this is where I will stop.

Except I will add that I am glad she is happier outside of the biz...

yep - i hate tv.
all that's on now are these stupid reality shows that are scripted to a degree and people think that they are not.
and who wants to be a <noun>
And most of the newer shows suck. any poor acting, poor scripting or just poinless.
the only shows i will watch is csi, lost and 24 - and lots of anime in japanese.
i hardly watch csi - but i will watch 24 religiously and lost.
