Spencer is a mole at CTU. Spencer being that guy who was doing Chloe.
Okay, maybe its obvious, but I'm hoping nobody picked up on it like me. I also hope I'm right, otherwise I'd look like a dink.
There are so many reasons for it though...
First off, who better than Chloe to get close to to get information?
Next, why else would anyone want to touch Chloe?
Also, in the prequel (which I also call the 15 minute long Toyota advertisement) Chloe said someone got into her computer. It'd make sense that it was Spencer.
WAIT- they never said how these fools figured out Jack was alive.
Palmer, Tony, Michelle and Chloe knew. Who is the only person alive... Chloe! She conviently got away from the bad guys, in a taxi, and was FOLLOWED to Jack. Chloe is the mole. Either that or they will make it look like she is then say the Chloe man-friend is and he got with her to find out what the deal with Jack was. Either way, something is afoot.
Sean Astin's character seems like he could be a mole, despite saving the day in hour 4.
My logic is... the people planning all this didn't want the terrorists to succeed... since if they succeeded and everyone died, the man with the key card wouldn't be able to escape.
So Sean Astin saved the day to make sure that dude got away.
However what gets me is why do they go to all this trouble for a keycard? I mean... it would've been easier just to do a normal drop:
"Here, this is your money now give me the keycard."
"Not until I count it."
"It's all there, why don't you just trust me."
"Yeah, right, like I'm going to trust a terrorist."
"Wait a minute, are you wearing a wire?"
"No."
"You are! I can see it sticking out of your shirt."
"It's not a wire, I swear... here, look."
"Oh man that's a hair chest."
"Well, yeah..."
"Hurry up and count the money so I can get out of here."
"It looks to be all here. Can I keep this suitcase?"
"Sure, but I'll have to take it out of the total sum of your bribe."
"Okay, well, how much does it cost?"
"Two hundred bucks."
"Two hundred bucks for a briefcase?"
"Yes, so?"
"Oh man, that's just nuts! I'll just put it in a sack"
"Fine, you do that."
"But a sack would look conspicuous..."
"Just make up your mind."
"Well, okay, I'll pay for the briefcase. Do you have change for a thousand?"
"No, what do I look like, an ATM?"
"Hey, wait, there's no reason to get snippy."
"Listen, just give me whatever money you have on you for the briefcase."
"Fine, here's... a hundred and... thirty... and a few pennies, let's see... one.... two... three"
"You know what? That's... that's fine, just give me the card."
"Okay, pushy, here it is."
"Thanks."
"So... uh... you hungry?"
"No..."
"Yeah, I was just asking cause I was going to grab a bite myself and if you were interested..."
"I'm really not."
"Well, okay."
It'd have been much easier, I'm just saying.
