It goes without saying, this thread will contain spoilers, if you have not seen the show yet. But it will not be posted in until the next day after the episode airs.
Every season, I lose track of how many people Jack takes out, so this year, I'm gonna keep a list.
I will not include those he knocks unconscious to steal their clothes, or to take their helicopter. I'm also not going to add people killed by others, like bad guys killing Jacks friends, or Jacks buds killing bad guys.
I will also update the count each episode.
Also, feel free to use harsh correction on me, if I mess up the count and forget someone, or add someone by mistake.
Hour 1: Jack killed 3 people.
First guy was one of the goons helping the guy that killed President Palmer. Jack shot him.
Second guy was another goon driving a car, Jack shot him while the car was moving and the car crashed. Unclear whether the bullet took him out, or the car crash. Either way, the guy was toast.
Third guy. Jack and Chloe shoot the guy who killed President Palmer, but the dude is still alive.
Jack kindly explains if he talks, he will call an ambulance. The dude spills the beans, confesses to all, then wants his ambulance. Jack, infuriated that this is the man who killed the pres, steps back and puts a bullet in him.
Jack had a slow one this time around. I give him credit for one kill, though it's debatable. He spent most of this hour making people go unconscious with his special ops moves.
At any rate, Jack enters an airport, and an airport guy is there, who is involved in some way with the assassination of President Palmer.
Jack tells him he is going to torture him (in so many words) and that he will talk. Jack is momentarily distracted, and the guy puts a cyanide pills in his mouth and dies.
This is a grey area, but I still give Jack credit for the kill. Cause I figure he scared the guy into killing himself.
Jack killed a terrorist, by using his cell phone to detonate the terrorists vest bomb.
Hour 4: 3
Jack shot two terrorists, point blank.
then a third, the main leader, he shot in the hand, knocking the gun out of it. Or maybe he hit the gun, I dunno.
Anyhow, Homer jumps on some explosive and takes himself out, while Jack has the gun on him. Again, technically a suicide, but I give Jack credit for scaring the guy into killing himself.
I would start another thread for when he kicks the tar outta people, or tortures them, but I could never ever keep track of it.
Just way too many assaults.
What would be fun, is count how many times he attacked someone, seasons one through five. I bet it would be up there.
My favorite is still in season one, when he shot his boss with the tranq dart. Man, I would LOVE to do that in real life. Just shoot em in the leg and they go bye bye for awhile.
I'm sure the demons hit Jack when he sleeps. But he just has that innate ability to turn off that little voice and do what needs to be done. He's not a mindless killer, just a damn courageous patriot.
