American Idols Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice Top Billboard Charts with Singles "Inside Your Heaven"
6-30-05. Bo Bice has the top-selling single (Billboard's Hot Singles Sales chart) in the U.S with his version of "Inside Your Heaven," a song that took American Idol winner Carrie Underwood to the number one spot last week. His double A-sided RCA single also includes the Ides of March's "Vehicle." He also holds the number one spot on the Pop 100 (Carey's 2 and Underwood's 3), the first solo male artist in the short history of this chart to reach that spot. Bice's single had very healthy sales; however, lacked radio airplay, especially in light of the record-setting airply level attained by Carey's "We Belong Together." Underwood was number one on the Hot 100, Pop 100, Hot Singles Sales, and Country Singles Sales charts.
In total, there have now been 64 number ones by American Idol singers: Kelly Clarkson (18), Ruben Studdard (10), Clay Aiken (8), Fantasia (6), Josh Gracin (6), Carrie Underwood (4), Bo Bice (2), Kimberly Locke (2), Diana DeGarmo (1), Tamyra Gray (1), William Hung (1), and American Idol Finalists (5).

Life may not be the party I had hoped for.......
But while I'm here I might just as well listen to the music and dance..
I'm a member of the forum at Anthonyfanclub.com. Anthony personally writes us messages on there himself occasionally, and his friends posts information about him often. It's really great. Makes me feel as if I personally know Anthony and his friends. Anyways, Fear Factor has been taped a long time ago. Anthony and his friends would not tell us the results except to say "Anthony and Carmen kicked butt!". There was also this magazine that had an article about Anthony being on fear factor. There's 3 pictures of him rolling around in mud. The article also said Fear Factor is gearing away from the gross eating stuff and instead will be doing more stunt work. Also Anthony got to walk the red carpet and attend the Latin Grammy Awards. He performed in "Big in 05", he sang the national anthem at the Knicks game at Madison Square garden. He's currently living in L.A and working with a bunch of A- list music producers (same kind of people who have worked for people like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, etc.) and he's working on TWO albums. One in spanish and one in english. He's hoping for a release by late summer. For more info, go to Anthony's website at www.Anthonyfanclub.com . You might get the most info if you join the forum there though. That's where Anthony and his friends usually post the updates on Anthony.
You mean albumS . In this one interview that he did with a radio station, he said he's currently staying in L.A and working with a bunch of A-List producers (i.e. Desmond Childs, Diane Warren, and more) who have worked for people like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and more. Not only that, he's also working with latin music producers and is currently studying spanish to become fluent at it. He hopes that one day he can go promote himself in Latin America. Want some Anthony goodies?
Who among us does not dream of conquering America and becoming a star ? But you can count on your fingers those who made it big. The hero of this segment instanteneously became famous and recognized by millions of Americans. 20-yr-old kid Anthony Fedorov was first of "ours" who took part in the hugely popular show "American Idol" and he ended up in the 4th place. We interviewed Anthony Fedorov during the few days that he spent in New York.
Interview in a studio:
Host:
Anthony Fedorov’s fortune sounds like something out of a remarkable American fairy tale.
There lived a boy whose parents brought him from Yalta to Philadelphia 11 years ago. There, he studied diligently in school and dreamed about a big stage. Later, Anthony began appearing in New York and people started seriously talking about him as a talented singer. He was even invited to sing in a famous and respected restaurant Tatiana, whose owners did not care that Anthony was then only 17 yrs old. It’s in Tatiana that Anthony first became noticed in New York. And very recently he became known to 150 million Americans when Fox channel broadcast singing competition American Idol in which Anthony took part. So, how did Mr. Fedorov make it to this competition ?
Anthony:
I went to Cleveland audition and I did not expect much (in English) I did not expect anything, (in Russian) but it so happened that they liked me and (in English) here I am today.
Host:
The strict judges liked Anthony not just because of his beautiful voice but also because he speaks and sings in English very well. However, he speaks Russian very infrequently, so he apologized beforehand for using foreign words in his Russian speech. I promised to help him with translating into his native tongue.
Anthony’s new circle included not only his fellow contestants but also established American stars, such as Paula Abdul, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. There, Anthony also had a chance to socialize with his idol Marc Anthony, whom Anthony has idolized since the age of 14.
How did the contestants relate among themselves, how did they treat their opponents ?
Anthony:
It’s very interesting that in many interviews we were always asked about the atmosphere, about how we treated each other, whether there was...uh...umm...like in sports...uh... (scratches head).
Host: battle ?
Anthony: yes, battle. Of course up to a certain level you want to win (switching to English) and that you would be the one. (Switching back to Russian) But we all became like a big family, as in....
Host:
Anthony continued that everyone supported each other and that the atmosphere was nothing like described in the tabloids, for example the alleged conflict between the head judge singer Paula Abdul and one of the contestants. That Anthony made it to American Idol he considers an accident and a matter of justified luck. Anthony still can’t believe or, more exactly, can’t comprehend that all this was for real. There are many talented kids, naturally even more talented than me - says Anthony - but it was important to be in the right place at the right time. To the question of what’s going on in Anthony’s life now that the competition has ended he humorously replied:
Anthony (laughing):
Well, now I am sitting here and giving... now I am talking to you. But, in general, of course I am getting ready (switching to English) I am getting ready to record an album. (Switching back to Russian) I just don’t know with who, which company I will be signed with but (switching to English) I am pretty close to figuring it out right now.
Host:
As you can understand, Anthony is getting ready to record his first solo album and after that next year he will embark on his first solo tour across the country. Among the many songs he performed on the show was a song by the legendary composer Neil Sedaka "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". (Addressing Anthony) Recently our show was a guest of Neil Sedaka. He spoke very warmly about you. Let’s hear what he had to say about you.
Neil Sedaka:
He has a beautiful voice. He is a wonderful person and sang my song very touchingly. When I met him I wished him luck and you see he made it to the very end.
Host:
All the American Idol contestants sang live, so it was not hard for Anthony Fedorov to sing one of his favorite songs right during the interview which was conducted in the studio of the radio station Vsye.
Anthony singing.
Host:
In real life Anthony is an absolutely normal, friendly guy who does not act like a star and who is into all the things that a young guy his age should be: sports, girls, funny stories, camping. To the question about his favorite places in New York, Anthony replied:
Anthony:
I like to go to Manhattan. I am there very often. (In English) I go to the restaurants there, maybe some lounges. So I...you know.
Host:
If you accidentally meet Anthony on the streets of New York, give him regards from the program Time Out and show respect for someone who became the first Russian to cut a window into the side of American show business which is targeted toward young people. Although Anthony does not consider himself a star. He is just a little more talented and lucky than some of us.
Actually, there's just so much stuff. If you want the rest of the videos, it would be easier if you register and get them from here: Anthony Fanclub
And here are some preview pics of Anthony on Fear Factor which will air sometime in February.
He looks like my favorite nephew. I can't wait to be able to buy an album of his. Thanks for the links hica. We have threads on the new season too. Pop in and let us know who you like this year.
I actually haven't really been watching this season much so far. I've only watched bits and pieces of the first episode. I'm busy finishing up my last semester of college. Season 4 is absolutely my favorite season ever. I even went to the concert. Best time of my life. Anthony waved to me 5 times and I almost met Jessica Sierra. I was sitting second row on the side. She was just about 3 feet below me. I could have talked to her, but I did not know what to say.
The contestants in the new season of "American Idol" will be hard pressed to win over the crowd like Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis did.
The fourth-season debut episode of "American Idol," which featured all four members of Maroulis' hard rock band, Pray for the Soul of Betty, reached 33 million viewers, making it the most watched show of the 2004-2005 television season.
Even though Maroulis finished in sixth place, he has made the most of his newfound celebrity status. The native New Yorker continues to perform with his band, and is working with Kelsey Grammer's production company and ABC Television to develop a sitcom that revolves around his life.
"People" magazine also gave him its "sexiest 30-year-old" award in 2005, and Maroulis was a guest on several television shows, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
So what are you doing these days?
I'm back on tour with the band, and I'm really looking forward to ripping it up a bit.
Your band is kind of a different musical side of you than people saw on "American Idol." Have you had a lot of "American Idol" fans digging the band?
Yeah, you know, it's been great. I've definitely turned on a bunch of the kids to the band. It's been very cool. It's sort of like my alter ego, the guy you see up there with Betty. It's a little darker and a little more aggressive, a bit more pissed off. But all in all, it's good old fashioned American rock 'n' roll.
Auditioning is nothing new to you. You auditioned for the band in 2003, beating out more than 150 singers, right?
I had done a lot of theater professionally (he received his bachelor of fine arts degree from The Boston Conservatory in 2002, majoring in musical theatre with a minor in voice performance from Berklee College of Music), and I went back to New York, and I was real eager to get into a band. The two things I wanted to do was get into the Broadway play "Rent," and get into a band, and I did both.
How did you decide to audition for "American Idol?"
An old girlfriend of mine, who was very persuasive, she encouraged me to go down there. Totally crazy.
Are you disappointed in your sixth-place finish?
I was steam rolling there for a little while and I was doing really well, and then all of a sudden I free falled off the show. But it doesn't even matter. I would have liked to have won the whole thing because I think it would have been a great underdog story. But Carrie (Underwood) took the title home, and she's amazing, and she's got a huge record. Bo's got a great record. They are two of my dearest friends, and I'm very excited for both of them.
So you were impressed with your competition?
I think it was a huge year for the show. I don't want to brag, but between me, Bo and Carrie, I don't know if you can really find someone to really take it up another notch. I was a part of television history. I can always say that. No more waiting tables.
Was Simon as big of a jerk as he is portrayed to be?
He's a real cool dude. We could easily become good drinking buddies, I know that much.
What's this television show going to be about?
It's a sitcom. We're hoping to bring back a great family comedy to television. It's based on my life and family. I'm the youngest of three children. My parents have been married for well over 40 years and they are grumpy and old. They still can't believe that I haven't gone to med school yet.
Oh yeah... can you say E-G-O? What an idiot. Does he think that saying such things will help to improve his image, and make people actually like him? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, NO!!!
